Rhox's basic hardcore 2h marauder build
" 8% of 1350 base life would give you more. But you are already have % Life nodes in your build. The percents are additive. Let's say you have +100% Life from passives, you go from 675 to 1350. Add another 8% (+108%) you get another 54 Life for a total of 1404. If you choose +40 life it becomes +80 for a total of 1430. When you get more +% Life Nodes that +40 becomes even better. Let's say you have +260% Life from Passives. 675 +260% = 2430, 675 +268% = 2484, 675+40 = 715 +260% = 2574 Last edited by bogyo999#7136 on Jan 31, 2013, 1:46:51 AM

" I see, thank you for that! I didnt realize the difference between base life and maximum life. |
|
" 40 life with 265% life would be 40(1+2.65) or 146 life not 106. +40 life is almost always better than 8% life, unless for some reason you have something like only 50% to life total. ign: DaEDaenarys Last edited by BldSwtTrs#4844 on Jan 31, 2013, 2:07:17 AM

" No problem man, I'm still learning too. :) |

" WTF, is my math really that bad? I thought 265% of 40 is 40(2.65)? Google says its 106? http://www.google.ca/#hl=en&tbo=d&output=search&sclient=psy-ab&q=What+is+265%25+of+40%3F&oq=What+is+265%25+of+40%3F&gs_l=hp.3...761.5513.0.5731.19.18.0.1.1.1.152.1555.14j4.18.0.les%3B..0.0...1c.1.5KkIiHQi5oY&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.&bvm=bv.41642243,d.cGE&fp=56ec88f8ee35ef0c&biw=1440&bih=812 Edit: Not that it matters, the question was answered =) Last edited by Killzu#7663 on Jan 31, 2013, 2:08:36 AM

from 40 to 106 would only be 165% more life. If you wanted to find out what 100% of a number would be you would multiply by 1 right? and there would be zero change. If you want to add say 100% MORE of something you have to add a 1.

" I would check your math if I were you. Just to make this easy to think about we can show it like this. If you want 100% of 40 well thats 40. If you want another 100% of 40 well thats another 40. If you want 50% of 40 well thats half so 20. And then all thats left is 15% of 40 which is 6. Lets add all that up: 100% = 40 100% = 40 50% = 20 15% = 6 OR 265% = 106 P.S. Just grab a calculator and punch in 40 * 265% |

You should be a math teacher. You sound better at explaining it than my old teacher.

" its 106 but u have to add it... 40+106= 146 |
|
" I see where you're coming from. My original point was to show the gain on top of the 40 (What you would get end game from taking that original 40). So 106. |
