is it true that lvl 26 purity of fire only give 5 max res?

not 6?

its sux, also have no need to max empower for that or have +3 wand, really easy to achive lvl 23 to get the "max" of 5%..
really made me sad, planned to use it on my RF build :(

waaaaah, sorry but an empower gem is not intended to BREAK the game, if fire gem could go higher then why not all the other purity gems, peopel would be walking around with 95 max resist, it would be totally stupid

+5 max res is huge. 80% res is 20% less damage than 75% res.

first of all, who said not all purity should have that..?
secondly, u can reach high amount of resist to 1 type of elemental, if u invest pretty much all u have on it, so that really isnt game breaking, it like saying CI is game breaking cause it give u 100%! res to chaos....
also dont forget maps with - max res, who destroying that any way...
and u saying 95% is game breaking, but 94% is reasonable?
look at that gem lvling - lvl 5-10 : 1 max res , 11 - 16: 2 max ers , 17 - 19 : 3 max res , 20 -22 : 4 max res, so only reasonable to think that 23 - 25 witll be 5, and after it will go to 6...

5% from gem + 5% from aura passives that boost the aura + 2% from elemental adaptation + 8% from shield or was it 6% + 10% from flask = 103-105 depending on how much the shield did give you.

10% from flask dont count, beacuse its not permanent

There's another 3% Buff Effect node, near the Templar Aura nodes. You're welcome.
