Hi Sharp,
First of all, I think its a very cool build, and you have some great innovations from Evelyus' build and very glad you shared with the community. I just want to comment on your statements surrounding Ghost Reaver. I noticed you dropped it and its very possible that the build doesn't need it at all as you've already showed. However, I wanted to either discuss or correct your reason for dropping it. You seem to believe that the leech max for ghost reaver is based on your health but I believe it switches to your ES. Others in the community believe the same (see: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/547048 or http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/194080 or http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/446180). This means that if you have 5000 ES, you will be getting 1000 ES/second leech with ghost reaver as leech comes free with blood rage. I would think this huge increase in defense would be worth the extra couple of nodes, but I would love to hear your comments! I'm working on trying to put a build like this together for group play, very excited about it. IGN: IskyOfTheSea

Life switches to ES if we get this keystone.. The thing with leech is that leech is a % of damage done, physical damage done, and GR just allows this leech to replenish ES instead of life.
So whatever max ES or max life, it doesn't matter, it's not ES regen. I think GR is still worth it on top of block regen from Aegis. Otherwise you don't regen your ES unless you block an attack or spell, or just wait for the natural ES regen to occur. IGN: AchiLize

" It's actually critically important whether its HP or ES as Sharp pointed out in the original thread post. The importance has to do with the rate of leech that you will actually get. If its based on HP, then the 20% leech/second rate will only net you around 200 ES per second (assuming an effective life of 1000). If the rate is based on ES, then the 20% leech/second rate will net you 1000 ES per second if you have 5000ES. Thus its very important whether ghost reaver switches the calculation from your effective HP to your actual ES or not. Hope this clarifies things. " My dear friend we r not discussing about Life Leech mechanic.. It is very clear there is no doubt at all.. You do damage and accumulate Life , there is no even a cap at that accumulation. And if u use Life Leech gem , then leeching is from all type of dmg u apply not only physical.. Else, yep, Life Leeching is only for physical part of your total dmg.. Our discussion is on the "Rate of Life (Es) / sec" mechanism.. Say, u have a phy. dmg of 20000 / sec.. and u have 10% LLeech.. The total Life Leech (LL) / sec will be 20000 * 0.10 = 2000 life / sec.. but u can not get your 2000 life back in a second.. GGG put a restriction there as of 20% of your max Life.. (or as we r discussing 20% of Es not life if u get Ghost Reaver) This is the RATE of LL (or Es Leech).. it is FIX.. only related with your max life or Es .. hope it is clr mate.. |

I finished Ghost Reaver test..
done with: 9153 Es (1830 Es/sec max) by replacing with Verified that the Rate of Es / sec is related with Max. ES value not hidden life as written on September 2012 by GGG team member MARK..
