Flay' Flicker Finder - 800,054 DPS, 50/390MF, fast clear speeds. [New pics in MF gear/FAQs]

@reaperpi and making money.
I farmed piety until about level 77 because Lunaris 3 has great sized packs for chain flickering and piety drops lots of items. Put everything you find worth anything up in your store easily using the Procurement program and separate Store stash tabs. Then, make sure you put buyouts for at least the best 5 items in your store. Use the chaos set recipe and you will make good money on piety. Sell the poor rares for alterations, and convert to fusings and buy exalts with about 80 fusings. And then just keep at it until you find better stuff to sell. It was on a piety run that I found my first Shavs as a regular CI flicker and dreamt up this build.

@reaperpi
As far as your gear goes. Everything but the dagger looks good enough to get you to 80. Your dagger is not bad but is only just over 150 pdps. That is great crit, but too low of dps. You should get one closer to 200 pdps, with about the same crit. You can get one for less than 3 ex. The dagger is the main source of dps for the build, so worth always putting all your money into. And usually can be resold if you get a better one. You can get something like this for 2ex or so.

If you want to spend money on your other gear for incremental upgrades, I would first get a better helm with es (250+) and more resists. I would then get a more resist-y rustic belt. I would get new ES boots, if you can afford to drop the stats, because your boots have no resists. If you got extra resists in these places, you could replace the ruby ring with one maybe, a diamond ring, with flat physical, and get accuracy, mana and IIR on it as well.

Sblak,

Thanks for the response, good to know both about gear and making money. You're the second person I've heard suggest trading fusing to exalts so it must be a good idea, procurement looks good too. It's also encouraging to know that you can find more than 1c uniques on piety, I'm definitely gonna keep farming then. Gear advice sounds solid too... I'll start looking for ES helms and boots. Do you not worry about evasion on gear then? With you suggestions I would lose a fair bit of EV on gear... Do you depend on grace for ev?

Thanks
I do not worry about evasion on gear because ES and capped resists from gear is better. If you want more temporary evasion use an evasion flask. Grace is where i get my evasion and is great as a bonus after you get shavs but dps trumps both and you crunch everything into ice chunks on the first hit.

I have made about 50 plus exalts total in small 3-5 chaos rares that I sold on my shop. Slow and steady wins the race.

hi sblak,
cool u made a vid!
can you maybe make one with a full dmg 6l?
i cant wait to see the real carnage
cheers
@newapollo
If you will be patient until this weekend I should hit 90 and will stop trying to level for a while. Then I will be able to make some crazy vids of me RF charged up crunching hard map bosses like dominus and the courtyard. I won't mind risking death then. But even one death is hard when I am going for 90 so I am playing carefully now. I will record a couple more boring leveling map grinds and put them up instead.

Yep doing progress!

Now i have Prism guardian , and i almost started crying when i realized that i 100% need shavs to even be able to use it :)

Since i rly had big hope that the shield would let me get more auras going = more dmg...

Im farming Docks for xp (and a very little voice inside me says GRIND SHAVS U FOOL)

Anyways im lvl 68 and sometimes everything runs as it should and everything dies but those damn dogs in can be very angry sometimes...
Is it out of sync , lagg or is it such an easy thing as Block and stun recovery that makes my toon to sometimes just stop attacking and start wander of or just stand still and eat shit...

(I do use my surgeons mana bottle as intended)

Evasion rating 1420
Chance to evade 22%

PS will trade my GF for the crudest of Shavs....
@Bibelfosmo
It's true that you can't drop CI to run anything on life without Shavs because Blood Rage bleeds us with Chaos Damage. So yes, you have to get a Shavs. I recommend getting a Shavs first, since you can run 3 auras at that point (Hatred, Discipline, Grace - one on life with a level 20 blood magic) and get more attack speed from Blood Rage, and those are both good good even without getting a CoE. I then recommend CoE because it gives you 30% more attack damage, which is awesome. And it gives you bonus attack damage for the spell damage on Shavs, as well as any other gear. Finally, get the Prism Guardian is last, because you get 2 more auras on life with it (add in Wrath and Anger at this point), which are good, but not as important as the additional damage from Shavs and CoE.

As far as why do you sometimes stop flickering? There are always multiple reasons. If it is a result of the dogs who spray like a flame totem in the docks, they often chain stun you with fire spell damage, which can't be evaded or blocked normally because it is spell and not attack damage. The way to avoid the stun is to have 75% fire res in the docks. In fact, 75% resists are necessary to avoid stuns from elemental damage and as a result deaths in most zones from the docks on up. BTW, the range of LS is much greater than the dogs clouds and you can kill part of the pack off before jumping into it. Learn to judge what kills you and what you can kill in a couple flickers, and then decide to LS first then flicker, or just flicker without an LS first.

If you are stopping at other times, and not always as a result of a pack, but are warping back to where you started, that is probably desync. The best way for this build to deal with desync is what I do in the video. If you watch, I desynced about 7 times, but never die. After any flicker chain of length I use LS about 4 times and it pulls me through the desync by slowing down my character and putting it into one spot, as well as hitting whatever mobs are nearby so I keep leeching life and freezing the mobs so I don't die. In short, don't go around flickering without stopping or you may end up desynched. Instead flicker a pack or two dead, use LS, flicker then next pack, use LS. Only break this up if you end up in the middle of a pack so big that it would be dangerous to stop flickering.
