1.3 [Newbie Friendly] GROUNDSLAMMER BUILD
First of all thanks to Arabian for this wonderful post,
My level 20 Mara has higher DPS than my level 40 witch and I am enjoying it. My question is, after going thru 74 pages, I am not sure how many LEVEL should we increase for our gems. Is there a roughy guideline for the gem levels? | |
" Increase them as high as you're able to use them. |
|
my recent gear have to use a lot fusing to fuse the boots == gonna fuse it before i use it XD and mace [2 stat wasted , crit and accuracy] planning to get RRRRG , and get a faster attack gem guys, blood rage and faster attack, which is better? |

I seem to be struggling to find better gear at the moment.... I walted through most of Act 2... only dying once on the end boss in Act 2.... but act 3 regularly kicks my ass; and I don't think it has much to do with my passive skills. It has gotten a bit easier with Blood Magic passive skill in that I am not running out of mana, and with two life on hit gems I seem to get back enough HP from the hits as I use for using HS, Leap Slam or Sweep. I know at some stage I probably need to use Ground Slam instead of Sweep.
I finally gave up my level 12 mace for a normal level 27 one.... and I think most of my armour is fairly low level too. I just seem to get mostly evasion armour that requires high dexterity, which I don't have.... Thing is I am only level 35, so I'm not sure I really want to go and buy stuff in trade chat, I'd rather wait for later levels... I suppose I could just get normal ones from the shop, but then I wouldn't have any rares, which help with HP and regen etc... Last edited by malteserinhk#6166 on Feb 7, 2013, 9:06:29 PM

" use enduring cry, will help in increasing armor |
|
" Yeah just got that.... and it seems to help a little. I guess maybe I have to wait until I get it levelled higher. |
|
what should I get next after finishing the recommended build?
| |
Just wanted to thank the OP for the build. I'm using it and it's pretty neat. Very rarely die so far in normal difficulty. Also playing through with this has allowed me to learn more about the game, so takes a bit off of my proverbial plate. :)

I am 5 points away from blood magic with only 520 life, should I still get it?

" If you struggle, shop for a good mace. You should get one for a few alchs. I usually overpay and pay 3. I had luck with lower mace drops, but have bought a couple after that. If you care more about alchs than me, you can probably get most of them back by selling it (on trade) once done with it. The key is a good physical damage % increase among the mods of the mace. To the above. Blood magic is a big improvement at least as long as you have "life on hit" linked to your attacks. The gem is a reward for at least two early act 2 quests, so should be no problem. The linked red sockets may be though, but white items (boots, gloves) from vendor or drops works in an emergency (and you can make them blue with a cheap orb). Also, I wonder if there is a trade god out there. I spent 3 alchs on a mace, and pondered if it was a poor buy. I needed another level to equip it, and went the fellshrine act 2 to get the rest of the xp safely. While there, 3 alchs dropped. Usually I feel they are closer to one per three maps (or worse). |
