1.3 [Newbie Friendly] GROUNDSLAMMER BUILD

Okay i just realized something. I should have asked at the beginning when i started with this Marauder build if it matters with this build which Passive Skills you take first. ( Sorry new to the game. ) Or does it not really matter?

So far i have taken these Passives...

Actually it does matter for this build. Extra life is the damage mitigation for this build. Damage passives are not needed until later on in the game. you will want your tree to look like this.

You will notice that I took resistance nodes but that is because I am going the shortest route to Resolute Technique. You will want that node as early as you can because it will be a big help to you. I have tried this build long before the update to the skill tree and I know Resolute Technique is great.

Why is it so great? Well you attacks cannot be evaded, you lose the ability to crit but the damage you will be able to do later on will still be good damage even without the ability to crit. Also if you did not take it you would have to invest heavily into dex and accuracy to have a good ability to hit. Not a good idea for a beginner like yourself. One less stat to worry about is always a plus. Hope this helps you out.

Darn...guess that means i reached the first of many Character restarts, at least i knew up front this could and would happen when i started with PoE. I will restart then and take the route you showed and suggested, thanks DoomCarpace.

Would you read the title of this guide again please. It says it is for new players because it is newbie friendly groundslammer build. So that means it will not necessarily be the best build in the game where it will do well over 50k+ dps with every hit.

It helps new players out because of Resolute Technique. Sure you can no longer crit, but that means one less stat that a new player has to worry about. So they can learn about game mechanics. Also Blood Magic passive along with a proper regen helps players out in the way of being able to spam skills without thinking about mana management.

In the end you can tweak it to what you want it to be. So if you want to speck out Blood Magic to use auras you can do that. If later on you want IR because you are getting a lot of good evasion on your gear that is decent gear then you can go that route. Just look at some of the pages near the end of the guide and you can see just how players are able to tweak the build to suit their needs.

Finally where in this guide did it say it is a CI build. The title does not say it and no where in this guide does it say it is.

I guess I missed the punchline or I am a tough audience.
Hey guys,i already thanked the OP, just wanted to give some news, and say that i always refer the new players i meet to this guide.

i did some gear improvements and now running end game with ease.

As the previous player said this build is rly great for learning new mechanics step by step.

I started FROM 0 with this guide in Ambush, first char.

I just enjoy being a big piece of a steak ... Now i can protect my friends in every map, and allow us to run with a ton of IIR. (I Used the fuse service for 5L the best hammer)

Cya around and thanks guys :).
Pas ici pour rendre service ;).
Un jeu avec autant de qualités que de défauts, malheureusement ignorés et soutenus par une marée de supporters nolifes sans aucune objectivité.

Instead of running anger try hatred, because hatred is effected by physical damage as it adds cold damage based on your physical damage so it scales way better than anger on this build.
what do you guys think of mings heart for this build?
