1.3 [Newbie Friendly] GROUNDSLAMMER BUILD

I`m new to this game, but I think I understand the need for resists. I think I will go for this BUILD.

However I have couple questions regarding some talents:
Elemental Adaptation (+5% max resist). Is it helpful? Will I miss it?
Bloodless? Why not take it? I`m missing it in the linked build in the guide
Life regen in the middle - 8 talents for 1.2% regen, 12%life, and some specific resists - is it good deal?

why u said mace has higher damage than axe? when i ask ppl they said that axe has higher damage than mace. Can u explain for me.

What i meant was easly obtainable Mace's damage node. Not base damage. Axes has basicaly 10% higher base damage (treat it like additional 10% increased damage mod on a weapon)

1. Link build, otherwise I won't check it.
2. You write something, but your build is different. You said you like Endurance Charge regen, but didn't take it. You said you dropped blood drinker, but you didnt. wtf? Repost, so i can get you.

Build

1. You don't need no Catalyse
2. No Endurance Charges. I have to change core build asap
3. You are that close to Iron Reflexes. Take it.

leap away from the mob surrounding you?
or just leap in same spot to dmg mob?

To kill trash mobs - that deals damage I easly overregen, that surrounds me.

and another thing, in normal difficulty, I took the passive point reward instead of +40 life from Oak. was this a bad mistake on my part, and if so, how bad?

You've lost ~120 health for a something else, on what you spend this skill point. You decide.

got a non-magical onyx amulet +20% all stats (which is the max for this amulet).
should i use an orb to make it yellow rare?
or use orb of chance to try to get a unique?
or just make it blue magical?
Why do you suggest that choice?
thx

1. Not 20%, but 20.
2. Throw it out, or save it in your stash, if case you will ever need some INT or DEX. And search for an amulet that has health mod on it.

I am trying to build a tanky marauder similar to this guide just with lightning strike instead. The OP mentions that LS requires a completely different passive tree. Can someone give me a link to that ?

I know nothing about LS. Sorry, but I can't help you =[

Where do I find a skill point build for this build?

In the 'build' section. There are actually few builds.

Ninja Arab, you never did say what level it is, and whether or not you're still using this build? :)

I've created tonnes of such characters in the CB, and I can't tell you whats my highest, because i simply does not remember. After some point, going through all four difficulties was matter of 2-3 days (I know, slow, I suck). So i don't even care about those levels.
In OB I wanted to check out Mara EleBow, but then I wrote this guide, which steals half of my spare time. Secondly. There was so many questions I decided to use this build, to be able to answer questions.
I'm currently in A1 cruel, so most you of overlevel me. That's normal for me - because I completely lack of game-skill. I have around 40 level.

I made a video based on this build. I wanted to share my experience on using this build as a total newbie and sucking big time. Yet I seem to manage some how or sort of.

Looking for advice but also wanted to show off that this build seems to work really well.

Wow, nice. But I would love if you post some important feedback here. I would be glad to listen to you video, because you are talking with nice diction, but I fail here, because I have problems with understanding 'spoken word' (if you can say 'spoken word' in english)

Something to add to the Q&A:
Q: I didn't take health from bandits, what do I do?
A: You will miss out on about 100-120 maximum life in the end game, out of a pool of a few thousand. It's noticeable, but ultimately something that you can live without.

Ye. Thats true!

That's good to read: I've just made this build, and seems like I'm constantly thinking "will it be viable at higher levels though" so it's nice to read this feedback and see that it is a decent enough build, I seem fine with it like act 3 normal, hopefully it should handle well in the next difficulty too. What level are you Kanechart?

THAT'S WHY you keep asking about my level. Just to calm you - Mouze is usining nearly the same build. So it HAS TO BE viable =]

1. Elemental Adaptation is helpful, but most of new players wont reach 75% max resists
2. Bloodless - to make your way for Blood Magic faster. You can respec later
3. Iron Grip's regen nodes. Imagine you have 4000 health. Additonal 1.2% is about additional ~50 health per second.

Yes Ninja, thats why I keep asking you ;) I'm not just a weirdo. So yeah, thats again for the rapid response, yeah I've checked out mouze' build too, and noticed hes high up on the ladder. Yeah I will stick to this build, and swap some skills over the compare with mouze'. Thanks though, before reading this post I was making a duel-wield duelist. Who was shit. Haha, I'm nearing level 40, we should play some time mate. Gamername = Schmoke
Hi, im going for your guide but i today i did see the video of the "in depths groundslam guide" and in that video i see how powerful hes character is, do you have any video of your build? / fasan
Don't know if this was asked earlier, but could http://en.pathofexilewiki.com/wiki/Molten_Shell be a consideration for this build?
@Vild
By Styurk one?
I have no video, sorry. Once i'll collect proper equipment and level - I'll sure do it

@MatSaysRAWR
You are free to use as a additional gem. I never used it, so I have no opinion about it.

Thanks for the guide. appreciate it. what are Duelist's Health Nodes? i couldn't find it on the passive skill tree. thanks
Something that should be mentioned is that lifesteal is normally capped at 20% of your max per second. Lifesteal support gem is sometimes wasted since the lifesteal from the tree is potenitonally enough to fill that.
Thats what Vall pact if for, but if thats a good choice for this build...
