1.3 [Newbie Friendly] GROUNDSLAMMER BUILD

got Resolute Technique at lvl 16 plus life hit on hit gem at same time!
wahoo! killed the songstress boss on 1st try and now am at the forest camp in Act2.

spending gems like a drunk sailor trying to get a better 2h mace.

if i do 1-5 points lightning and 1-2 points cold, then i get 2 chances of the crit doing less dmg to me? ie: stun by lightning and/or slowed by cold?

I'm the newbie your guide is aimed at. I'm looking at the skill tree section, and you list orders of when to get things. When should I start getting clumps like the resistances near the beginning of the tree? After I get Blood Magic?
What do you think is the best choice for survivability guys?Iron reflexes or Endurance charges?

In my case, i grabed the res nodes around diamond skin when i was doing act 3 because the mages there are pretty annoying. So in my case, i went resolute technique -> blood magic -> filled the res nodes around diamond skin -> and i'm now starting to get the duelist health nodes. I'm now in late act 1 cruel and things are going smooth, and both my lightning and fire resists are at 75% which is pretty neat.

Thanks for the fast reply. As you can tell, I was thinking about getting them after BM and now I definitely am.

I maxed all the RES nodes at the start as soon as I got to them and I highly recommend doing so. Resolute Tech and Blood Magic keystones may seem very appealing but being able to laugh at mobs that would usually slaughter any other class does have it's own charm.

You will also be able to go toe to toe with bosses like Merveil, Fidelitas and those skelly magi / elemental archers and pound them into dust instead of whacking them once and running away like a wuss. You won't be immune, but you can at least survive long enough to kill them instead of kiting them to death. Keep in mind, most of your gear should also have a bit of RES on them, so it adds up.

In the end it's your choice though. I prefer jumping into a group of mobs using "Leap Slam" and then "Sweep"ing them to death while shrugging of their blows. I guess if you like playing carefully you could ignore the nodes and go straight to the damage nodes and keystones, taking the RES only when you start to die often to ele damage.

After filling in the golem, which do I head to:
endurance charges or Iron reflex?

I am now lv43, the survivability is getter better after i try to get some regen item. But it's still quite hard to make it close to 100 HP regen per sec. Can I know with what lv armor you can acheive this goal?

However, the mob still hit badly, for example, the mob charges me in curel level can be deadly easily.

So, do you think it worthy to spend some more points on life gain per kill and hits, or I need to increase the armor for the charge damage? Or i just need to hang on for a few more Lv until i got templar life nodes..

Thanks~!

ignore all armor talents, this build is based on high hp and lifeleach, for better survival use enduring charges with talents later after u have all hp nodes and ele resi
Atm lvl 55 with this build and raping mobs hard :)

Hi guys. So i've been wathing this guide and try to cater the skills a bit to my liking. Currently i'm at Cruel act 2 with my lvl 42. The thing is, idk whats wrong with my build but i killing those elites and bosses quite slow and they hit me hard. Without regen totem its quite hard to tank them.

Omg. Its normal you can't face-tank critters.
Don't use Life Leech. Use either Life Gain on Hit or Life Leech.
Ur eq looks ok.
Don't you have Melee Physical Damage so far?
