So I went back a few pages on the comments, and see some people saying that this build is good up to 60-66 or something, and then you're really better off switching to the "lawnmower" build with auras instead of Blood Magic.
Is that a reality that I should REALLY consider, as in the aura/mower build is just so much better at high levels, or is it just a LITTLE better for some situations (maps?), and the Blood Magic build is just as viable?
Because if its the latter, and the BM build is just as viable, I'll just stick to it and not worry about auras at all. But if its the first thing, then should i look into that aura build and see how it differs from this build, and keep in mind what i do want to get and what i should skip?... Sorry about the messy phrasing, hope its not too confusing.
Thanks in advance :).

I actually use blood magic passive, and made some calculation to decide if it's worthy to switch to auras. I think the point is if you have a 6L piece or not, with 5Links only the damage would be similar more or less, with more utility on BM passive (more free slots, more HS damage, etc) and more resilience with auras. I think i will not switch until i get a 6L.

Very interesting read. I am getting tired of my squishy witch and I'm going to give this a try! Thanks!

I believe you can get more bang for buck by ditching the endurance charges and just grab more life nodes. I also don't agree with skipping Lava Lash, Acrane Efficiency, and Catalyze. Those notables will increase your damage a good deal, and Arcane Efficiency is worth getting just for the -10% reduction cost of skills. (Use less life per attack/skill if you think about it.) Also all those individual +15 rez nodes in the Marauder tree are unecessary. If you take the 2 Diamond Skins and the Body&Soul notable, you already have a base of +40 to all rez. The last 100 rez (-60rezpenalty + 80rez to cap for a total of 140 rez) should not be difficult to obtain on your gear. (8 pieces of gear to fill out from, helm/chest/gloves/boots/2rings/ammy/belt)

Using the same number of points, (97), this is what I'd build towards.

Disagree here... The +ele dmg nodes in the templar area actually dont give much +damage with this build.

I am lvl 75 and have been testing it out, catalyze and the nodes around it TOTAL only give about a 160 DPS boost. I do like Lava lash because its only 1 point and gives about 100 DPS boost, but your three oints are better spend getting more +phys damage nodes or heck, with 3k life, more HP nodes.

I have about 3.5k unbuffed GS damage with 3.5k HP and max resists. I use a 5L chest with GS/Faster/added fire/added physical/life leech.

can solo any lvl 66/67 map pretty easy.
Wow Vary nice guide. I'm not newbie but I might try it.
"Is there such a thing as an absolute, timeless enemy? There is no such thing, and never has been. And the reason
is that our enemies are human beings like us. They can only be our enemies in relative terms."
So I followed this build up until I hit maps, then I started to stray from it. As the guide states it is a "guide" and not the final version. I am lvl 75 and been running maps for a little while. I have reformatted this build to my preferences and here it is.

Ground Slam SC Build

I have noticed that when you can max your DPS, get 5+ endurance charges, and have decent life leech, you can tank and survive almost anything. I do not have great gear and honestly havnt upgraded my gear in a long time. Most of my pieces I have had since beginning/mid Merc. Bought my weapon 1 for Ex, rest is found/ traded for <1 chaos a piece.

Here is my gear:

Note: The above isnt my current build, but I will be working towards that.

Current Build

Is my current build for those who care. I accidently killed all bandits in the first difficulty, otherwise I would have picked up the +hp. The rest is a toss up to me, maybe the 12% phys damage would be nice..

Just letting you know that this build has more life in the original build posted by the OP. If you have additional sources of ele damage, the Catalyze cluster helps a lot. If you run Anger and Wrath, it gets multiplied by Catalyze, adding to your damage.

If you don't go for Catalyze, then you'd get something like this:
A bit more life is all.

I am aware of the bonuses and use flat auras. I just didnt see that much damage improvement from the nodes. If Catalyze were by itself, I would get it. But since you need to spend 2 points to get it... Eh... Its up to each player I guess. My setup currently doesnt have much ele damage so stacking more phys damage adds up pretty big..

I think the min/max will really depend on the gear and setup on each player. Im starting to stack less and less HP and more infavor of damage once I get more and more life leech, the HP pool just needs to be big enough to take a few hits, the sustainability comes from life leech.
