I wonder what I'm doing wrong.

People say they have about 6000 dps using this build? o.O

As far as I understand our damage comes completely from our weapon and our skills.

This is my weapon: my groundslam dps = 2141.8
I have the links on my other items, still need to link these gems. And I only use leapslam to escape, so the skill gems in this item are all independant.

any help?

You will need to 5link your weapon or chest armor. Swap life leech gem for an 'offensive' gem. Eg Heavy strike + melee physical + added fire + weapon ele dmg + faster attacks

Get some gears with life leech to sustain your life pool. (Carnage heart ammy, wurms molt belt or rare gears)

And also, use hatred aura. Its pretty damn good.

@zawish Weapon ele dmg is the best choice.

Hatred? Really? O_O

So is it really necessary to take the mace damage nodes that the OP has taken in his build to pull this off? They seem like a waste of time....

Damage is needed to stun, so if you plan on stunning enemies than yes, damage nodes are necessary.

How much does stunning actually help though? I can only see it being a big help if your build concentrates on getting as much stun as possible. Maybe I am wrong?
Right now with my DPS I can almost stunlock uniques, I know they nerf'd stun so you can't completely stunlock them but blue packs don't even get close to me, yellows get off maybe 1-2 attacks and it depends on the boss, brutus is a little harder to stun but the lightning casting skeleton in cemetery can rarely attack me. It helps, even as I switched out added fire to concentrated effect I notice the additional stun helps tons.
Truely newbie friendly build.
I was new to this game so i followed it and get RT BM and Unwavering Stance. It really simplified the playing style since no worry for not hitting , no worry for getting stunned by certain mobs and no worry for mana.
However in late game, it is very important to get auras. At least determination and purity for survival. The hatred aura boost for dps is huge too.But using any percentage aura is not possible in this build cause of BM.
The author should add not for end game in this thread to prevent misleading.

There is much discussion in the thread about where to go after this build game you a great start and saw you through the regular game content.

One of the more popular choices appears to be dropping BM and running % auras on mana again.
And what level would be best to do that at?

Is there a guide on this build somewhere that breaks it down from 1-10 level, 20-30 level etc etc?
I followed this guide till now.

Didnt take any armor nodes till lvl60.
Im 62 lvl at act3 Merci, killed General easy mode.

Stading at 3k Hp,
4,1K DPS Heavy strike
1950 DPS Ground Slam

Till now i had a walk in the park, but as i read, the only way to proceed is giving up Blood Magic and go with auras ?? (determination - purity )

1)How is it even possible to run 5-6 auras???

2) Is it possible to go through and game with just 2 defensive % auras ?

3) is extra mana/int gear or int nodes needed for those 2 auras ?

4) SHould i focus on taking more HP nodes, or go with the rest armor nodes i bypassed?

I would really appreciate any tips

What level did you take the mace damage nodes?

You can reduce the reserved Mana either by passive skills (reduced Mana reservation) 2 are between Marauder and Templar and 2 are between Marauder and Duellist. For a total of -20%. then there is the reduced Mana support skill, combine these 2 Features and you can run several Auras at once.

Then there is even Alpha Howl, a Headgear Item that further reduces reserved Mana.

I cant answer your other questions, to much Newbie for myself here ;)
Damn, I'm seriously being held back by my garbage mace at level 47
