[1.0.6] level 96 Arly's Lightning Arrow/Frenzy Aura Scion - 6 gameplay videos
Just sharing my perspective.
Yea, I was using the base for purity, I forgot to include the increased auras Am I correct in stating that 6500 LA you mentioned was with 95 passive tree? @77, my LA with 6 frenzy stacks is ~2300. Obviously it will get there with more passive points and better dps itemization as I work on replacing pure life/resist jewelry with additional dps affixes. |

" Correct, level 95 with the gearset I posted it was 6970 la dps with chain+lmp, I didnt check frenzy but it was likely something around 25-30k. Curiously, why not post your gear set? I may be able to provide some input on potential ugprade paths. IGN: Arlianth Check out my LA build: 1782214 Last edited by Nephalim#2731 on Jan 21, 2014, 1:28:12 AM

I suppose I didn't post it because I know what needs to be improved. I wasn't attempting to complain or any such.
My bow needs some divines and my jewelry all needs to be replaced with dps items. I think I just grabbed jewelry I had sitting in my stash. A few gems need a couple levels as well. My plan really was to plan out my jewelry items all at once, so I could make sure they all complimented each other. I'm debating mirroring Ventor's prismatic ring and then filling in the gaps. I'm also waiting for some more ex as well. Mostly when I try a new build, I take what I have in my stash and start leveling. I may fill in one or two uniques that it needs, but I really wait until the mid 80's or so before I decide if I really want to sink money into the jewelry, etc... that it needs. I'll max out my gems once this happens.

Wow..your gear is bonkers. youll more than double your dps by simply leveling to 85+ and getting your crucial dps auras to level 20 and then double that by getting dps mods on your jewelry.
You should consider swapping vitality for purity of elements and putting on some dps rings to 'test' out your dps. I would not recommend spending any mirrors until you are absolutely head over heels about the build or at the very least, find one a mirrored copy. Hi and thanks for a nice guide.
I've been a curious to try this build. However playing as a ranger, I'm not to sure what route to take to reach the left side of the passive tree. This is what I have been looking at so far. http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgIAAdEEfgW1BfkM8g5IEZYV8BcvGYYZihnVGdcajx2qIXYksCT9J-0qTS2DL28wfDGeMfozDDWSNj026TnUOlg8LT7PPydGcUrITeNRR1XWWfNjQ2TnZp5uqm-eb_JwUnC7cNV293fXfXV_K4CkgwmG0YcZiGuI8Y19jb-QVZLNkvOVBZcGm42btZ2joJ-hIqGkokCly6ZXqn-quKxHrFmsqq_rtfK3PrvjvebAGsBRwzrEosT2xq7KSsqp037UI9UA1orZE-GI4dvjauOE51TnY-ss893z6vT49tr5Y_rS-wn8q_4K_iv-Sf6P_rr-yP_e I've also been looking at a little more defensive route going more towards Troll's Blood instead of the heavy damage nodes. Also ofcourse dropping a few damage nodes for Conduit instead is very much possible. Maybe something like this.. http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgIAAdEEfgW1BfkM8g5IEZYV8BcvGS4ZhhmKGdUZ1xqPHaoksCT9J-0qTS2DL28wfDMMNZI2PTbpOdQ6WDwtPs8_J0ZxSshQUFFHVElV1lhjWfNfP2NDZOdmnm6qb55v8nBScLtw1X11fyuApIMJhtGHGYhriPGMz42_kFWSzZLzlwabjZu1naOgn6EioaSiQKXLrEesWayqr-u18rc-ud27473mwBrAUcM6xKLE9sauxtjKStN-1CPUj9UA1orZE-GI4dvjauOE51LnVOdj6yzvDvIv893z6vT49kj22vlj-tL7Cfyr_gr-K_5J_rr-yP_e Any thoughts? Thanks for the input.
Going the way arround wizard feels a little light on the HP maybe. But then again the gains of innerforce and with the other damage nodes you can pick up on the way, its most likely to be a lot of deadly (maybe for my self also :< ). This is what I'm looking on if going the over wizard route. http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgIBAdEEBwR-BbUF-Qx9DPIOSBB_EZYV8BcvGYoZ1RnXGo8dFB2qHwIhdiQ8JLAk_SepLR8tgy9vMHwx-jMMNj02xTbpOdQ6WD7PRnFJUUyzUDBRR1XGVdZabWNDZOdmT2e9bRlvnm_ycFJwu3DVdvd31311fyt_xoCkgUmDCYbRhxmIa419jb-PRpUFlwaboZu1naOgn6EioaSiQKKjpcunCKdcqn-quK_rsji4k7vjvebAUcHzwzrEosaeykrKqc9l0NDTftQj1QDWitgk2RPhiOHb42rjhOdU7m_0-Pba-WP60vsJ_Kv-K_5J_rr-yP_e What you think about it? | |
I took your suggestion of dropping DPS nodes for life to make up for my inability to ever afford a Kaom's heart. I decided to drop crit nodes first of all as well as conduit and the aura radius node to free up the points I used to move through templar and take their life and ele damage nodes. Overall I end up with healthy 248% life and an additional 5 8% life nodes right next to me. What do you think?

" I would actually recommend still taking ele adapt as it will help vs dangerous ele. It will effectively be a 2 node cost - 1 for ele adapt and 1 for the extra node needed to traverse. ele adapt, 40 str for 5 nodes - vs 20 str, 10 dex for 3 nodes but its up to you. The final levels of the build will be large dps increases due to the supremely efficient pressure and assassination nodes but this will take some time time get to. As always, survival comes first and dps can come later. You still have 5 life nodes left as you mentioned which should be more than enough to bring life to a manageable level. Also, prioritize life on gear before dps. http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgABAnEDlgR-BLMFtQX5DPIOSBGWFE0V8BcvGYoZ1xo4Go8c3B2qJDwksCepJ-0tgy9vMHwyiTWSNj026TpYOuE7KDwtPs9Bh0ZxSVFN41FHVdZX4lnzWm1gQ2TnZp5odGo_bj1wu3flfyt_xoCkgwmG0YcZiGuI8Y19jb-QVZMnlKCXBqIApcumV6dcp4Sqf6q4rFmsqrQMtz67473mwBrEosT2xq7UI9aK2E3ZE9pi4YjjauOE52PsOPAf8kXz3fba-WP56PrS-wn-Cv6P_ro= IGN: Arlianth Check out my LA build: 1782214 Last edited by Nephalim#2731 on Jan 21, 2014, 5:12:01 PM

" So what I have now is fine for someone on a budget, I can spec into crit later when I flesh out this build and have more currency / passives? " I was considering that but I feel so point starved especially with the pressure to get all the other nodes as well as more crit in the late game that I think I will ignore it. Maybe I'll reconsider later, we get respec points for a reason. Overall, do you agree with my overall direction and do you feel the Templar Ele nodes are worth it or should I work around it, since I noticed you skipped it in your build? @TheGrimmRanger
