hi elsahr,you mentioned you currently have 93% fire res w/ your lvl 2 empower, but shoildn't your your PoF be at lvl 25?

i just leveled my PoF to 20, so with my +3 weapon and a lvl 2 empower, that makes my PoF lvl 25, but my fire res is still at 91%, the same when my PoF is @ lvl 18 (lvl 23 with added supports).

Additional Max Fire Resist from FirePurity changes every 3 lvls, so: +4:20-21-22 +5:23-24-25, +6:26-27-28
So between 23 and 25 you should not see any difference.
To get more resist, you have to take into account the effect of aura + buff...
Iron what is your effect of aura/buff?
Elsahr suggests 34%.

You will get the 93 fire res with a level 3 Empower. I only had 92 but I also didn't finished my char.

SO is the only benefit to casting RF with carcass jack on and then switching to new kaom's extra life while playing? I am at around 7100K life with kaoms. Just trying to find ways to save backpack space and still want to do the maximum damage.

I can only think of one thing, changing zones. Unlike auras, RF doesnt cast itself when you change zones, so you must manually recast it every time.

I can calculate 92 if I consider:
Initial Purity is: 20+3+1=24 (gem+item+empo).
Buff effect: 24*0.31=7.44 rounddown to 7.
Final Purity 24+7=31, which gives 7 max resist [23-25>5, 26-28>6, 29-31>7].
Total: 75 + 2 +8 + 7 =92 [tree-e.a.-RotP-maxRes].
But, not sure that this is the formula :-(

I dont think The buff effect increase isnt calculated based on the level of the gem itself. But you're right about the last line though, if PoF can give 7 additional max res, it will be 92%

This is my current max res:

77% w/ EA + 8% from RoP = 85%

lvl 25 PoF adds 5% max res

If I add the 31% increased buff effect:
5 x 1.31 = 6.55 (but will be rounded down to 6)
so 85% + 6% = 91%

Now, if I have 34% IBE
5 x 1.34 = 6.7 (but will still be rounded down to 6)
85% + 6% = 91%

So even with a 34% IBE, you wont get 92%

But if I ever get my Empower to lvl 3 with a 34% IBE
a lvl 26 PoF will add 6% Max Res
6 x 1.34 = 8.04 (will be rounded down to 8)

Final Res ( 75 + 2 (EA) + 8 (RoP) + 8 (PoF) = 93%


I still can't seem to figure out how to get the 92%
