[0.11.0] Eldritch Battery/Armour Crit Dagger Shadow (Based off the CI Crit Dagger Shadow concept)
" I find that LMP is perfect for lightning strike, especially with quality so it pierces. I run on a 5L, LS with weapon ele damage, faster attacks, LMP and adde fire damage. 3 projectiles is a small spread and won't hit much enemies. With chain, sure you'd hit a lot more enemies but the mana cost would be so immense that you wouldn't be able to spam lightning strike at all, defeating the purpose of the high dps. With quality LS and LMP, or LMP Pierce if you dont have quality, you get a nice spread that rips right through mobs. In short, I agree with Invalesco's idea to use LMP instead of chain or fork. I hope that answers your question or at least clears up some doubts/confusion about it. IGN: Knyphe / Vesu / Xaenom [Tempest]

If you want to use either chain or fork it is certainly viable but make sure you use a non quality LS gem. The bonus pierce % on a quality ls completely defeats the purpose of chain/fork.
In the case of chain I'm afraid you're going to need really good gear to keep up with the mana cost. " That is being said in the first post. Default: Nagarashi HC: MrsNagarashi or Nagarashi_JrJr Last edited by Nagarashi on Feb 26, 2013, 10:43:17 AM

" Would probably be better of buying a 5l white. Got a 5l white crusader plate for 3 gcp. 1 alc and 1 chaos later and I got one I was happy with for the moment. That's 31 fusings worth of currency, I believe. I don't have numbers but I'm sure you could find them somewhere, and it would show that the number of fusings you could expect to use to get 5L would be WAY higher than 31. EDIT: Although, that's a great roll. Not so sure anymore. Last edited by Nonethewiser on Feb 26, 2013, 4:02:20 PM

" If you got the necessary fusings (consider about 100+) and a replacement chest to use while you're fusing. I'd 5L that one certainly. Default: Nagarashi

thing is chance to 5 Link a chest with only 5 sockets is about the same as 6 linking one with 6 socket. Meaning the chances are absolutely abysmal. I tried myself 5 linking a5 socket astral plate.Best I got after around 80 fusing 4 link.
Question you have to as yourself. Are you feeling lucky??? Because you might end up wasting all your currency trying to 5 link. And wont end up with anything to show for it. Honestly after my experience attempting to 5 link a 5 socket I strongly advise against it.
Ok I see.
So LMP is a better choice when comparing it to Chain because of the mana cost. How about Fork though? Fork uses 25% less mana than LMP while doing the same amount of damage. Also because of the skill effect you can save yourself one gem slot of Pierce. You can use an additional damage gem on top of it. Maybe it is a better choice than LMP? " "
You don't save a gem slot since you should use a quality LS gem with LMP which has built-in pierce. Fork is definitely viable, I personally don't like the mechanic that much (it's the same as with chain) on LS. Tried it, reverted back to LMP.
I assume there's a reason why a quality LS gem has pierce in it ^^ Default: Nagarashi
