Inventory Mangement
Torchlight gave us a pet as a "mule" to sell the extra loot.
D3 will give you a magical way to sell the items and to salvage the items. My suggestion for PoE would be an special temporary item/skill (sold outside the game) that ables you to: - sell the items anywhere. - acess your stash anywhere. “We must become the change we want to see.”

I think part of what GGG are trying to do is force people into having to be frugal with what they pick up. That being said a Titan quest like autosort feature helps with maximising use of your limited inventory space!

In the dev diaries they mentioned there will be somewhere near 25 economy items, that have uses(like scrolls of wisdom) and pretty much all of those take up only 1 space, so it works out in that way. Though rotating items is always a wonderfully welcome feature in any games inventory.
I lost my mind a few months ago, too lazy to go looking for it.

Some items in this post are currently unavailable.

" Why do people like you always try to kill ideas by making them cost money? Wtf? Dont suggest that and maybe you'll save a little money. Dang! |

" Unless their drop chance is several times higher than gear you're still going to have instances of daggers or such that would actually fit in pack if it didn't arbitrarily decide that everything has a specific orientation. |

"Items take up different amounts of space so that you can't fit as much. It's fully intentional. Your inventory is 5x12 Items sizes: 1x1 1x2 2x1 3x1 2x2 3x2 4x2 This isn't Tetris; things can't be flipped sideways. If they could, there would be no real need for item sizing in the first place. Even if you were able to flip items, you're only going to end up with one extra item, two at most in rare cases. The inventory area is still the same, and chances are you'll have plenty of 1x1 items to shuffle around to accommodate the extra item. Let's not try to apply too much logic to the game. You have to make a decision on whether or not gear is worth your time and effort to take back to town. It's a part of almost every single loot-drop game, and it's not breaking this game in any way to warrant a change. Closed Beta/Alpha Tester back after a 10-year hiatus.

I think, like diablo 2 the belts should allow more inventory because the aspect of a belt is to keep items at your side, so it makes sense that belts increase item size

When I played Deus Ex: Human Revolution one of the aspects of the game I found extremely refreshing was that the game would auto-tetris for you when you picked up items.
Needless to say if a system like this is going to be put in place, theres a good chance that its going to be part of the micro-transaction plan. Because ultimately its not REALLY a necessity... it just makes your game less of a hassle to play. The idea of being able to turn items in a 90-degree fashion to allow them to fit in your inventory does sound like an excellent idea.
Because what do you do when you pack IRL and can't fit something that you NEED? You find different angles at which you can pack it! :) Just another player, waiting patiently for his chance at beta.
Also, I am interested in meeting exciting people to play with. Need a friend? Feel free to message me for convos! YES Homo! |
