[1.2.4] 11 Aura Low Life Support Culler - Steroids Edition Revamp

HeartBreaker tecnically isnt REQUIRED, since it could be substituted by a wand with Proj.Speed and/or Casting Speed (up to 41% proj, 22% cast) and one of those 2 gems could be replaced by Culling on the 6L. I am not saying its optimal but could be a poor man's option, obtaining roughly the same effect with a potentially much lower expense.

Good idea! BTW: I find that if you have a 20% Incinerate, Faster Projectiles isn't absolutely required and can be replaced by Culling Strike, but using a wand with Proj.Speed would certainly help.

Anyway, i find incinerate totems very invasive visual-like, and some people complains about them being too (and i dont blame them). I ve tried a few different spells around but didnt really find anything 100% satisfying. Any idea anyone? :)

An easy thing to do is get a Blue Incinerate Microtransaction, so the blue flames can be distinguished from other fire-based effects. I also get some copmplaints, but they stop once the rares start dropping :)

Shav on SC is very expensive, in the forum shops you see b/o from 120 to 500 ex. in game you have to pay around 100 or more i guess, inthis case i didnt know how medicore ppl that like support can play this build w/o losing so much auras.
so for SC ppl you need a major of luck or youare rich enough. for me now its hard to afford shav, if i go CI i lose 4 of my 8 auras and 100% IIR from the shoes. dunno what to do now, atm im running low lvl maps and try not to die. since 1 week im lvl 72 cuz i died every day a few times. sure its cut off the fun a bit but i try my best and watching forward to an new item or the luck of a shav.

Next issue.. What will happen with the price of shavs once leagues end?
I play standard.. I guess legacy will go higher, not sure about non legacy..

My prediction:
- People will filter into Standard and either quit, or use their old Domination toons. When the new leagues come, some will stay,. but many will leave for the new league. Therefore non-legacy Shavs will go down a little as the league ends and go down more as new leagues begin.
- Legacy Shavs can only go up, as they slowly filter out of the economy through people quitting. It will go up once the leagues end as a number of very rich people from Domination will want to buy one for their toons.

Legacy Shavs will go up less than Legacy Kaoms, as non-legacy Shav is still very useful (the loss of ES is annoying but no more than that). Non-legacy Kaoms is IMO worse than a top 5L chest with 3-res, or a mediocre 6L chest in most cases for the same price.

I don't see shavs dropping to much maybe 5-10ex
But I could be wrong

That is for legacy Shavs. For newer Shavs (which have 40% less extra ES), a 5L goes for 30-40 ex. Still a lot, but certainly do-able.

This build is geared towards people who have $ already. If you do not, you are strongly advised to seek a cheaper build (e.g. summoner, LA Ranger). If you *must* play, stick to Merciless Docks, where there is no Chaos Damage - the main killer for those without Shavs.

EDIT: not sure about chaos, there may be some skellies with Poison Arrow.

A more long-term option is to start another toon until 1.1.0 arrives, hope that a respec occurs, and then respec this toon into a feasible build.

Anyways I am going to change gear requirements to a bullet list.

Apology accepted! I'll also work on being less abrasive, since yeah, I could of been a little less verbose. :-/

Guess we're both just a tad bit passionate and/or passive agressive. :-) :) :-) <- Smiley's in case you missed them.

Thanks for updating the guide!

I'm not sure if any one has asked in the 22 pages (haven't looked) but this build is also viable with a Scion. :-) You lose 1 skill point and lose 6% ES compared to the Witch; you gain 8% more mana with the Scion. Pls did all the hard work with his "120 Build" (thank-you listing it!) version; I merely tweaked it to start with my Scion:

Spoiler

120 Point - Level 100 You could go dual curse if you wanted to.

For leveling up the Scion, I'm finding Spectral Throw (augmented with the optional "spork" build Spark, Fork and LMP) to be a blast until you work way over to the left "Ancestral Bond" side.

"Clear Mind" (south of "Arcane Vision") can also help out for chaos resists.

Lastly, sorry if this is old news, but looks like Shav's can drop again in non-map areas.
Further Update to Map-only Uniques

... Firstly, the list of map-only uniques will be reduced (Kaom's Heart and Shavronne's Wrappings will drop in non-map areas, for example). ...

Anyone else tried this build with a Scion ? I'm having fun with it!

Great post man, I will post build variations in the next update, including your scion version,
What would be the advantage of the Scion? Easier leveling?

You are slightly behind, as you trade a skill point and 80-90 ES for 1-2 mana points after all auras.

BTW: After having bought a decent ES helmet, leveling Discipline, and adding a few ES nodes, I am at 6300 ES and 6000 EV, and totally retract the term "squishy". In fact, haven't died since I wrote the word "squishy" in the first place :)

don't see how this is superior to my build

I do pretty much the same thing but instead of double totem incinerate I use power siphon with 20/20 blood rage + enhance/empower to get enough AS to reliably cull, this also allows you to conduit frenzy and power charges constantly...

"My build" being...? Anyways never claimed my build is superior to anyone else's, its simply the best build ive come up with for culling end game maps that's within my theory crafting ability.

If you feel you have something better post your guide with empirical evidence supporting any claims.
