GGG Should remove the Uniques Challenge

Why are you still upping this thread? no one cares about your 8th star, go trade

Aaron Ciccheli, a guy who made millions running Diablo and PoE RMT sites, owns a significant portion of GGG. How's that for a conflict of interest? 7.5% of your supporter pack money goes to this guy.

I agree with this suggestion. Pretty much all the challenges are about spending inordinate amounts of time—on things you don't like and things that make no sense in an ARPG, as well—and still having a high chance to fail. Even if you have the funds, you aren't guaranteed to even be able to purchase the item, because people who want the challenge for themselves just won't sell them.

Make it a bonus challenge for those who like the t-shirts, make 7 the default winning condition and award players with in-game prizes.
<Tyrfalger> Exactly, the next act is going outside Sarn and into those wheat fields (see the map) to become a farmer. Then we can spend our days endlessly farming. Wait a minute...

Agree with you.

In all seriousness the challenge should be split. To get the 8th star it should be acquiring a percentage of uniques from the list so something like 75/100 which I think would be fair. Players acquiring 100% of the uniques would have their 8th star and maybe get some kind of MTX like effect to show they completed it in its entirety.
All good ideas. I really like the one about making 7 = in game item, 8 = T-shirt, or just get rid of the T-shirt completely. T-shirts from first leagues still haven't been shipped, btw.
Anarchy/Onslaught T shirt
Domination/Nemesis T shirt
Tempest/War Bands T shirt

It was known from the start that this was a heavy trading or RMT challenge...

Top uniques droprates suck bad and now are even gated behind high-end content. Nerf on T-shirts :P

Maybe its just a social experiment by GGG. Make top uniques extremely rare and watch how the economy behaves toward the end of the leagues. RMTers will be able to pay 1000 exalts for Voltaxic, legit players wont... :))

maybe they have % from each RMT deal?

quite possible

it's like a drug bust. they have undercover "players" posing as challenge completers vying for the uniques and hit up a well-known rmt trader. they then proceed to make a shady transaction and meet in a quiet secluded corner of the docks and trade and that's when BAM the rmt'er gets busted big time and faces 10000 ex in fines and 3 months sarn encampment imprisonment
