Hardcore Frost Witch Guide (Last Updated May 8th)
Do you people think that you really need all thoes ES nodes below witch starting point, even for defaulth? Im kinda going crit-frost witch build with totem.

Alot of crit nodes, but maybe I should get more energy shield nodes? Not so sure about CI, if its strong enough without thoes extrea ES nodes.
" Taking a quick look over this build and the first thing that came to mind is that you would not survive hardcore very long
" Whoops! I can't believe I left this out. For hardcore, a shield, hands down. Stay up-to-date: gggtracker.com

Grats for guide, really helped me to set better the tree for my witch - always had some doubts about some details. Also, very useful to see the reasonings behind choiches, aswell the "steps" of the tree across the difficulties.
Btw, 2 random things: -at which level clarity stop to be worth upping? Heard that after a certain point it does not gives more regen but only more range. Also, any other important skill (Pulse, Spear) has same issue - we should stop level it at a certain point? -i'm going to use this manly in a non-HC leage, tree is getting a bit different due to personal style, but do you think there is any major changes to do or it's going to work anyway? (so far going strong w/o problems, as expected). |
|
" I'm pretty sure the regen provided by Clarity increases all the way to its max level. I'm really not 100% on this though. Freezing Pulse and Ice Spear are definitely worth leveling up all the way. Their damage always goes up, yet their mana cost doesn't change at several of the higher levels. " It'd work anyways, but it may be a bit too tanky for fun default play imo. If I played default, I'd make a glass cannon build but that's just me. You should probably at least pick up more offensive skills sooner. Added a few tips . . .
Probably the most enjoyable thing for me with this build was watching people die to Vaal Oversoul. It's incredibly easy for this build after normal mode, but other classes tend to have a difficult time with it. In particular, they tend to get hit by the smash and explode. :) I'm not usually one to take pleasure in other peoples' pain, but it's just too funny to watch imo. Stay up-to-date: gggtracker.com

Hey Bro ^^
Following the guide and it's fun to play till now. You might want to update your passives at page 1 cause it's different from the passives you give endgame at page 4. At page one you get some things that you don't get at your final passive build. You get Chaos resist at page one but not at the endgame page, because you are getting CI anyways. I like the guide and keep up the good work man!
" Free respec points are given at certain quest rewards. And as you pointed out, while chaos resist is used through the whole Normal Diff, it has to go when you pick CI - which makes you immune to chaos thus making a chaos resist useless. |
