Anyway I added you to friends list, had no idea you could just add the person's account name and not just the char names :P

Did they changed it? Was definitively not possible before, you had to know a charname.
lol, Account names do not work but I just happen to have a character named FaceLicker. You could just add RainLicker too, the character used for this experiment.

I'm sure he was not speaking about encoding time, but uploading instead... but probably this is related to some conversion they make (and also from his enconding too, by this)

No idea. I used Fraps to record, it made a 17gb .avi file and that's what I uploaded. Probably should have converted to .flv or something?

Crap, I just realized the limit on youtube is 15gb.

What a pain in the ass videos are.

what u uploaded is raw video material, noone uploads that.
u need to encode them ( with sony vegas or something)
your 17gb vid will be less then 1gb then ( probally a few hundreds mbs )
you could've tried livestream and record screen or section of screen. then link to the recorded streams if the setting for it is on. similar setting gives option to save to comp.

Fraps' encoder outputs videos at around 300+ Mbps (if my math is not completely wrong your video is at 600+ Mbps xD), youtube 720p is 3-4 Mbps (8-10 Mbps for 1080p), your best bet would be to encode the video using virtualdub, winff (ffmpeg for windows with an UI) or windows live movie maker (all free, windows movie maker is the worst in quality if you don't mess with the settings but it's the easiest to use, if you want to use one of the first two I suggest to use H.264 codecs). There are other programs that can do the same (with more functionalities) but most of them must be purchased.

I have never heard of fraps creating a 17gb file on a 2min something video...
*facepalm*

Please use other recording program, such as Bandicam or Playclaw.
