I don't think that photo id has any legal status, but if Spartheos and his like(those who share this idea) ruled over the world, you would have to submit a photo for each comment in forum/chat.

I don't see the difference between requiring a photo id and requiring your actual id-card number, like Korean companys already request from their Korean players.

Furthermore, if it is true anonymity you want to have, then that ship has already sailed. Unless you are accessing this game through proxy, NSA or another agency already knows where you live and I am sure they can demand the company hosting your internet access to tell them exactly who you are too.

If you guys haven't read GGG's ToS for playing Path of Exile then you don't know that they already collect enough information to identify you based on your browser alone. My photo id idea is meant to curb the amount of people who play this game simply to ruin other peoples' gaming experience. I'm also not saying GGG should go NSA on the player-base...

9/10 players who are against having to use a valid photo id don't even buy micro transactions or have a stake in this game insofar as having a semi-high level character to lose by their trolling. They make shill accounts and log-on to level 1's to troll. If they did buy GGG cs items, or donate for packs, or anything else involving rl transactions with GGG then they'd know GGG already knows where they live / who are they for near 100% certainty. But they don't, so they don;t care.

True Democracy doesn't even exist in the real world let alone online. You are on private property so-to-speak. You can't say, write, post, or do whatever you want under www.pathofexile.com because it doesn't belong to you, nor can you in-game. Game companies should make a real effort in squishing the trolls because they do kill the bottom line, which is sales.

GGG is pretty lenient in the amount of garbage they put with from what I've seen, and it's because they are that the users act the way they do in-game and on the forums.

First of all, trolls have nothing to fear from GGG in their real life, the worst you could do ( RMT ) would only be answered with a ban, so they can collect whatever they want. Secondly, trolls can actually donate and buy microtransactions, the world isn't divided into Black and White, let me repeat : supporters can be trolls, do you understand?
And, 9/10 of players who support the use of valid photo don't even quote real numbers, they start sentences with " 9/10 of players who are.. " or " 90% of players who are.. " sounds fallacious.
If GGG wants to eradicate trolls they can do it, GGG priority is gold not virtue, so your priority is not GGG priority nor my priority, therefore you can keep your agenda for yourself. 9/10 of us don't want the idea you wrote.

I'm not going to bother to continue this back and forth with you any longer. Seeing that all of your characters are level 1 and you post troll images with no text/troll in general...

GL HF not playing PoE, but logging in to troll on a game you don't even enjoy/play.
