Necro's pure righteous fire build HC, 90% phy dmg reduction, cheap! (5 seconds piety vid) lvl89

I got a quick question: Why are RF builds not using an alphas howl to boost the auras? Would have a huge impact on PoF and you could run 4 auras (grace-PoE-vita and purity of elements). Reson i thought about the 4 auras is that you could easily stack MF with the purity aura (for example 2 andvarius etc.).

Hello, very nice spreadsheet. Just took a quick view and it looks really interesting for players that want to go more into detail about stats. If you want I can put it up on the op and on the other RF thread I have going. Maybe more in detail explanation on how to use it would get it more love :)

just wanted to retouch on my topic, what did u all level with until you switched to rf in th emid 60s? thanks a lot!

Hello, in invasion in leveled as spectral throw 2h but in retrospec I would go for searing bond totem as it has more in common with RF which means less respec and the skill itself is quite good, check the op

Hello, some RF builds do and alpha's howl is quite a good item for the reasons you mention. However you would have to go to growth and decay and IR via the ranger side to get enough dex. This gives a little more life but a lot less physical damage reduction because of armour and endurance charges

Thanks for the answer! Yeah i thought about taking IR anyway because i would be more flexible (playing ambush atm so no big funds to buy items yet). Also i need an alphas anyway for my mapping build im playing atm (ele ST). So i wont buy alphas just for the RF build. Was more of an idea i had :P. My RF marauder will mostly be my MFer so survivability shouldnt be too hard to achieve i guess.

Hi. I have a question.
This time you aren't going to take extra endurance charge like on the old version?
If so in merciless is it better to take extra passive point from the bandits?

Thanks man that'd be cool. But before that happens it may be better if someone tests it.
I'm actually looking at the Life calculation on it and even though the calculation looks right I'm getting the wrong life by a small amount. Calculating 4788 when I have 4703. The difference is if I subtract 50 strength (or 25 life) then it's spot on. Weird thing is that my totals come out correct. The strength calculated is what's shown in game. Odd. However, the rest seems to work fine.

To use the calculator here is what you do.
Spoiler
1.Fill in the information for gear in the first column. You'll add up each cell. So, add all you Int together and put the number in, strength from gear, insert number etc.

2. Fill in Elemental damage on gear from time of snapshot.
Example: for 2 redbeaks that number is 200. Increased area damage from carcass would be added below that as well.

3. Fill in the information from passives. Be careful of certain build generators that add in the strength and/or int to Energy Shield or total Life for you. You want the numbers from the tree directly.
Example: Let's say you take only the first Life node from Scion which is +10 to life. You also take 2 +10 strength nodes. The build summary should show +10 to maximum life. Some will show +20 because 10 strength = 5 life.

4. Fill in aura buffs from inner force/aura buff passives. And character level.

5. Fill in your gem levels/quality and bandit quest selections And character.

OPTIONAL QUICK METHOD
Spoiler
1. Insert damage number on gear at time of snapshot.
example: 2 redbeaks means 200 elemental damage. Increased area damage from carcass would be added below that as well.

2. Insert Aura and inner force buff numbers

3. Insert gem levels, select character

4. If you don't feel like putting all that info in then on the right (last column) insert your numbers from the character screen. Strength/int/dex/life/ES/Resists.

The Spreadsheet

It is an editable public (anyone with link) spreadsheet. So, it's recommended you save a copy for yourself to edit. I do of course have a backup copy.

EDIT: I added an option to select different characters. Shadow, ranger and scion.

The build I used in nemesis could do mf piety runs extremely fast, same for dominus. One thing I did was to tweak iiq to a breakpoint in more items dropped by piety/dom and use the rest of gear for iir, made a post about it some time ago. However this breakpoint will changed based on your level difference with piety/dom because you have less iiq the level difference

This time I'll also take all endurance charges, the damage reduction they provide is priceless. They also let you cap phys reduction without granite which without endurance charges is impossible due to how armour works. I met THE tittybitch a few days back doing piety runs and thanks to the charges I got enough time to get the fuck out of there with like 10% hp left. Thankfully endurance charges are all near pretty big clusters of useful passives.

I have to say, after reaching level 81 in ambush, I'm in love with this build. A few things need to be changed, IMO, though. This build should not be considered "cheap". I spent 3 ex for a rise of the phoenix and 1 ex for low end searing touch. I was only able to start going RF after level 75 after grinding through my shop and having luck with 2 exalt drops over the last few weeks.

Other than that, this build is absolutely incredible and a lot of fun. A few things I have noticed with this build: using ruby flasks is much more favorable than using life flasks, and the most important: vaal cyclone linked with increased duration is absolutely 100% OP as hell with RF. I can round up about 50+ enemies and completely melt them, only to have my cooldown come up shortly after. For anyone having to level for this build before staring RF, I'd recommend joining a group and acting as a tank/initiater while the rest of your party does dps; the regen before RF is pretty ridiculous, but finding ways to do damage can be really tough since youre not specing into damage on the skill tree.

Thanks to anyone who has contributed to this thread. I did a lot of research on RF before starting it so I had a good idea of what to expect, and it's been very rewarding seeing these ideas come to fruition.

Hello, I'm glad you're having fun with the build :)

WRT to the costs of this build I both agree and disagree with it not being "cheap". As I experienced this league, at the beginning the only required piece of gear for the build will be rare to find, which will skyrocket it's price and this is the reason why I agree it not being cheap. Why I disagree is because after some time the shield will be so common that the price will go down a lot. Another reason is because the effectivity return for the price paid is outstanding and gearing the rest of the character is really easy which makes it cheap as you have a lot of options. If, in a few weeks time the price of rise of the phoenix is still that high I will remove "cheap" from the title :)

As for ruby flasks being better you're correct as they provide more healing but, you need damage mitigation to stay alive, otherwise life flasks are better as you need instant life because the mitigation is not enough

Nice idea about vaal cyclone, I was thinking about which vaal gems to use with it and I'm definetly gonna try that one out. Do enemies still attack while you pull them to you? Vaal molten shell is also really nice and goes well with this build for the extra armour and obviusly vaal dd :)

Hello, this build would also work I think it's pretty similar to Oro's marauder build. My only problem with it is the 170+ dexterity that does nothing, it gives no armour and no evasion. What is your reason for going IR and growth and decay?
