Seems ggg is not willing to comment. how unfortunate.
If they fixed the insane resists pure spellcasters suffer from I think it would fix almost all the problems personally.

My first time playing through this game, about 2 weeks ago, I noticed that every single enemy resisted something or all magic, and most bosses resisted all magic. I was really confused, I assumed that mobs had lots of armor and block and parry as well so it was balanced, or that spellcasters just did obscene damage compared to melee so the resists were required for balance, but I was completely wrong.

At 23 pages of discussion, you would think a developer would say something. If nothing else then just to acknowledge that they are aware how so many of their customers feel.
I didnt read through this whole thing yet, but I might bookmark this and do it when I find the time for it. Its a really interesting thread.

two points (or pints :D):

Blood magic maps - only a fraction of POE players actually use bloodmagic passive, for any mana/aura user based on energy shield this map is virtually non-doable.
In my opinion there might aswell be a mod that shuts down non-CI users. Which is also really stupid.

New curse immune maps - Really? When I tried a Fireball witch the curses were the only thing that actually made it viable. I think this accounts to alot of spells too, as stated by someone else in this thread the elemental resistance of endgame monsters is to high.
Basicly the curse immunity isn't the problem. The resists (even with penetration gems) are massive.

Either reduce monster resistances or boost spell damage...

boosting the dmg of spells would only fix a symptom of a much larger problem,it could temporarily hrlp and give them much more time to look into it

just higher numbers would make ppl even more obsessed with there tooltip dps then they already are (some ppl are telling you that you need like 75k!!! dps to farm dominus merci...by the way i farmed him with just 6k without much trouble in around 7min or so)
