Payment option for upgrading pre-purchase support packs

This is such a smart move by GGG, you really have to hand it to them.

I've been a Silver Supporter for a fair while now, and I've ummed and ahh'd about going the distance into the Diamond Supporter pack. The money per se wasn't the issue, but more the commitment to an up front payment prior to Open Beta.

As much as I hope and expect things to go brilliantly, I've been burnt before on super-subscription plans (still a holder of a "Lifetime" subscription to Hellgate: London).

With this payment plan option which I've now committed to (and got my confirmation Email from Support early this morning), I can "go Diamond" over the course of 6 months, or - if I feel like it - just plonk down the $900 USD difference ahead of time.

It allows me to seriously fund a company making a true old-school, for gamers, by gamers, ARPG, yet still hold on to my ingrained cautious nature when it comes to money.

If this go as I hope and expect, I'll drop the $900 on the first payment date, and still be able to satisfy (one of) my inner voice(s) telling me to be prudent (that government radio signals are trying to take me over).

well, i would support it if they implemented Paysafecard(i got like 30$ on code for this and other games and several codes whit 4$ and 8$) and i got 150$ of stipend on my mobile device wayting; and im not the only one. 4 months and counting and i already spent 40$ in SOE games, 30$ in swtor, 20$ in DDO, 60$ in STO, and several other FTP including fpt´s and mobas.

I agree with your fact. This is a huge problem and GGG should look into this in the future. Paysafe should be a must have.

People have been known to pay $10000 to support a Kickstarter project that they've never played before.

Its not necessary, but its there for anyone who feels this game is excellent enough that they are willing to support it with that much money. Its purely for supporting the game, nothing else.

Many users (particularly those in Germany) have been waiting patiently for us to support the paysafecard payment method. This is taking longer than we expected to sort out the paperwork for, so we're not going to have it available before Christmas. It may be that it's not even ready before we enter Open Beta, if things continue to take a while to finalise.

We want to make sure that paysafecard users are still able to buy our Closed Beta supporter packs, so we've been planning a solution: if you'd like to eventually buy a Closed Beta supporter pack using paysafecard, please PM Support or email support@grindinggear.com and let them know which pack you intend to buy once we are capable of accepting paysafecard payments. We'll put you in a list, and will make sure you're able to get the pack you want even if we're in Open Beta and the packs are unavailable at that time. You won't receive the pack or the points until we've received your paysafecard payment, though. You have to contact support about this before we enter Open Beta, and there will be a limitation on how long you have to send us payment once we support that payment method. This will ensure that no one misses out on a Closed Beta supporter pack due to our slowness to add this payment method, and also that people can't abuse this offer to get Closed Beta supporter packs after they're no longer available.

Thank you so much for posting this. Contacted support although I'm just wondering if it is too late. If it is, then I'm at fault for not contacting support earlier to ask if this was possible.
