hey there. just wondering is there a rf dmg calculator? i cant really work out my regen atm. it seems ok while maping n stuff, but just good to have that excat number in mind....

you only have like 87% fire resist, thats 13% hp uncovered, and i only counted 10.1% hp regen
Do you roll purity of fire and/or Vitality aura? Vitality is an extra 1.65% hp regen, and purity of fire is 4% at level 20, 5% at 23. runing them at level 20 gems would mean you have 91% fire resist, and 11.75% hp regen. this means you take 8.19% hp per second, and since your regen is 11.75% you gain quite a bit of HP per second over top of all your RF dmg, which with all your hp would be quite alot of HP per second. you dont even need to run vitality. |

I found that it is easy to over-regenerate with the build. Having about 1% regen after RF is plenty (use flasks to heal), and this allows you to lose quite a lot of those expensive 0.4% regen nodes.

First and foremost, i'd like to thank Oro for this amazing build. i decided to create and RF build after a carcass jack and a ROTP dropped for me a few days ago. I'm currently at level 73 with 4.7k hp and 540hp/s regen with aura's active. i was also able to cap my resists easily thanks to some decent gears that i was able to get along the way.
of course dual redbeaks in swap for the snapshot. " In regards to gear, if you're snapshotting anyway with Redbeaks, try to find a good 4L+ high armour/ev and 90+ life chest to swap out with Carcass Jack after casting RF, just for survivability. It's where I park my CWDT set. Actually, I'm currently using a self-found 4L Lightning Coil to swap out with Carcass Jack, the survivability of that armour once you buff lightning resists to 77 is amazing...Kole, Butcher, Carnage, Blackguard Elite, Flicker Strikers, Undead Rhoas, all no worries, it really takes the sting out of those big Physical hits (and the little ones), and it's totally worth the potential loss to max life and resists a good rare chest would give. I waffled about Blood Dance myself, not wanting to give up more resists/life/rarity, but ended up taking the extra frenzy charge reward and using them, and I'm very glad I did. I didn't put any passive points into Frenzy (yet), but even 4 charges is a godsend. I don't worry at ALL about degen effects, even Vulnerability or Flammability can be shrugged off with that extra 4% regen active. Stand right in Desecrated ground with the charges up and gain life, laugh at poison, etc. Plus the move speed and extra attack speed help survival too (get to targets faster, and more APS, more LGoH!). I tried Poorjoy's at 74 with 5k life, and without the Blood Dance I wouldn't have made it through without dying, I'm certain of that. Vaal Cyclone really really REALLY synergizes with this build. Drop the Added Lightning Damage and replace it with Vaal Cyclone...besides just being stupid fun to use and great for clearing the trash mobs, it solves a LOT of boss problems, give it a try. Get added cold or lightning on a ring/amulet and you're set for EE. Personally, I don't bother with Ice Nova, I found it to be pretty redundant since my AOE on Cyclone/Vaal Cyclone/Leap Slam is just as large. Replaced that 3L with Searing Bond/Blood Magic/Increased Item Rarity. Speaking of IIR, in my 4L Carcass jack I swapped out Concentrated Effect for an IIR gem, giving up some damage for better rarity (until I get that damn 5L on my Carcass Jack), and it tends to work out ok, the larger AOE radius somewhat makes up for the loss of 60%+ extra damage. But I have to be careful I don't end up getting high value kill shots with Cyclone/Vaal Cyclone or I lose the IIR bonus. :) Finally, I should note my RF Marauder is at 85 now, and has died once, to a combined desync and brain fart on Mao Kun at 84. this gem(RF) is crap imo.
Its not anywhere near the dmg i thought i would see from it. The ENTIRE build is centered around this which constantly is forcing you to take usless life regen nodes that only really support the dmg you take. So there is absolutely ZERO tankiness from this build other then the fire res. Hits melt through you like cheese because of the insanely low armour There's a tiny block chance and you took no block chance nodes so you dont have that going for you either.... making this build was very disappointing Also at first i used rf alone w/out linking it to anything and it barely was able to handle merc act 1 ledge.. then i tried it with links fire pen, increased burning dmg, and empower on a searing bond annnnd same shit barely does any damage. its worse than my full tank arc build and that shit actually can take hits.. really disappointing and pretty upsetting to waste my time on this p.o.s build and gem. (this build w/o legacy kaoms but basically everything else is what i was using and i followed the build node for node..) so dont follow this build and dont use rf. |
