Players always going to break mechanics especially in poe that's why we try to create op build. It will rightfully and should get toned down abit so you might aswell quit the game if you cant handle it. GGG will not care about the hordes of threat each time something getting changed and thats why GGG is my favourite company.

I was initially going to be high crit Reave-CoC-EK-Multistrike-PCoC using physical claw and a high spell damage shield, but I immediately realized that even with ~60% crit simply using melee physical and faster attacks was vastly superior and I actually got to life/mana leech that extra damage. So on one hand the proc behavior is OP and needs adjusting, but on the other hand the gem is effectively a dead socket allowing one 2 support attack in a 5-link to proc an equivalently weak spell, which won't be as effective as simply having used 2 more supports for one or the other.

Simply adding a limitation to how quickly it can proc would leave it in a garbage state. They would either need to buff the gem considerably such as 100% proc chance with leveling adding spell damage or converting to a standalone trigger gem like cast on death or CWDT.

The trigger gems did not get nearly enough testing, and their abuse cases are incredibly obvious. Of the three, CoC is the least broken (but still broken). At least it requires you to build around it.
