all critical chance bonuses are additive (gear + skill tree + spell itself + support gems) , means
7 * (600% + 100%) = 49%


can someone please explain me why is 49% of crit chance if the skill says 600%, i know this is in the second hit, but that isn't means it crits always at the second hit?

i ask this cause i don't got any crit chance passive in the tree.

not the "second hit", but "second form". after you cast ice spear it has first form without increased crit chance and after a meter or so it changes the form.

skill says +600% to crit chance, means "your spell will crit 6 times more often". IceSpear does have 7% base crit chance, then 7 * 6 = 42.
if you have 200% increased crit chance from gear/support gem/passive, then it will be 7% * (600% + 200%) or 7% * 8 = 56%

Basic question about dual totem:

So with totems you can't do damage, is that with ALL spells? Can I still do damage with my traps and other non linked skills or it prevents all damage outside of totems?

Basic question, but a valid one and if it was ever brought up it was buried in page 10-30, close to lost at this point.

Taking the ancestral bond (double totem) passive makes you unable to deal damage yourself. Fire trap/bear trap do not count, even tossing them rapidly at something's feet, this allows vital controlled burst. It would seem the trap itself does the damage, as neither spell/physical reflect maps hurt you when casting bear/fire trap. (Totems take damage in spell reflect maps, expect to recast them more often, 10-15 seconds if hitting packs from reflect alone)

Buffs (auras), debuffs(curses), minion summoning still work, and your minions can do damage.

You can cast spells like freezing pulse, they just do damage so often do nothing but look pretty. Frostwall no longer does damage (it was tiny anyway), but still acts as a barrier/knocks back. Spells like power siphon/frenzy can still benefit you, if they are able gain charges without doing damage. A recent patch note specifically stated damage abilities that do no damage can now still gain charges/benefits, so this behavior is likely intended.

i did, but i just didn't know about the 600% only applies to the % crit chance of the skills.

i have read ur guide at least 10 times :P

How much ES are people running at lvl 70ish?

76 atm and I'm only at 4.7k buffed ES.
Even though all resists are at 75% some mobs are still very annoying.

I want to drop my shield for a second wand since my totem dps is only 360 per projectile, however that would drop me down to 4.4k ES.

Question on this.. are we sure you are doing damage by casting freezing pulse? I have used this in the past and it seem like it was doing nothing but going through the motions. I guess i can test this on a low level, cast my totems out far enough away and then use freezing pulse on a mob to see if i can kill it. I swear the last time i used it.. i felt like it did nothing but show the animated graphic. Correct me if i am wrong here.
I am in a duo with a friend right now, he is going the first build and I am going the fourth build.

Just wondering a couple things:

What bandit quest rewards should we get? I am thinking Skill Point + Skill Point + Power Charge (at least for me).

Also, I am supposed to use two Ice Spear totems still but the shock just comes from the Added Lightning Damage rune? Why is this build focused on crit, do you shock more when you crit?

This is my build for about level 65~, is there anything I'm missing or anything I should really prioritize?

Your shield only gives you 300 ES? You may want to get a new shield then. I switch between 2 wands and wand/shield but that's for almost 1300 difference in ES..
