Probably to add more Mana Regen from Clarity. Since Templars has some really bad Mana Regen.

So i consider my self still a newb big time that is! However as of tonight i will begin streaming this build on hardcore. One i will figure it out. or two im going to face palm over and over and over again. The thing about it is i will continue to delete and remake the toon on hardcore until i get it figured out!

Streams will happen mostly nights for short periods at a time this will not be a fast leveling attempt or anything like that. This will also be the first time iv ever played on HC.

First off iv only streamed for a total of 20 minutes im new to this as well. Still trying to get funds to pay for xsplit and increase resolution so it looks a bit better, im not sure what they cap the free version at but im running it at max currently. No web cam just me talking and more and most likely ding over and over and over again.

So if your in the mood to listen to a noob face role his keyboard with no clue as to what he is doing other than following this build for a witch then come have a peak.

I did start this tonight as promised. However in the first 3 minutes i forgot to switch the character to HC mode. After three hours of live stream and reaching level twelve i was really starting to enjoy the witch..... So after that utter most EPIC fail im going to be restarting.

Check me out most Friday nights 7or8pm - 12or1am live streaming. I will record every second of the play through so everyone can see kinda how to fair through low levels and transition into the higher ones.

I apologize for the confusion and instead of deleting the video im keeping it up as a reminder of how retarded i am.

I have a question I saw a very interesting build earlier where the witch was using iron will because its turns str. into spell damage.

Would that be possible with dual totems? Seems like it would make you very tanky and still give u dps.


Also wanted to say for those who dont like zombies like me ice wall is super strong, I was watching a stream of a guy using it and it worked very good.

Hello, awesome guide, well written and nice explained, a luxury nowadays.

You can improve the damage changing 2 passive points.
You can REMOVE the 2 passive near the witch start:
+10% spell damage
+8% spell damage

And taking instead the 2 passives at the start of the shadow character (you can take it because you are connected there:
+9% spell damage
+10% spell damage


This way, you have 19% rather than 18%

Not a big deal, but I think it's better, mate!


Congratz for the guide and I wonder if, taking into account that I just said, it's possible or not to make a Shadow instead a Witch. It looks like a long start and you need more levels to start to shine (you are far from double totem), but I think it's doable somehow.

Can't wait to trying this in hardcore. Need any adjust or its fine for hc? Not sure if templar life or witch CI for hc.

With the templar build in ur guide I dont see much for casting speed and what I do see is way down the road wont that make leveling painfull?

Just wanted to pop in and say that you can pick Spell Totem as a reward in Act 1 Cruel already, despite what the PoE quest reward excel sheet says.

I am doing this build but i just started recently so im at Act1 Cruel atm.
Act1 + Act2 normal were plain easy with Fire/Beartrap and Freezing Pulse. Getting to the first Totem at 31 then is a bit slow.
I tried one totem at first, but since it was so awesome i picked dual totem at 32 and didn't regret it yet.

To use Iron Will i'll need a 5link i guess since faster casting gem should be in too. So no experience with that yet.


Started as Templar and the missing Faster Cast from Witch area isn't that harsh.

I think he put those there so that people would understand it would be a good idea to take them at first as you are leveling so that you are not quite as worthless. I'm sure he's assuming anyone with a brain would min/max stuff like that late game.
