edit 2: Also I just found a ice spear 20% quality and I'm thinking the most important gems to get in high quality are ice spear (first) GMP (second) with increased cast speed coming in last.

Hm, really? Ice spear quality only gives projectile speed, right? Whilst GMP gives increased cast speed?

Longer range it can travel = more targets it can pierce versus exploding on contact, which could end up being an greater overall net gain. Speed is great, but the casting speed from quality nets is only 7%

Oh, I thought it waa the distance and not the time that altered that, now I understand why IS-quality is great. thanks

Yeah it would be a useless bonus (literally) if it didn't.
Got disconnected during Deal with the Bandits and now it says I've allied with Oak and thus cannot get my skill point. Is it worth it to keep going or do you guys think I need to reroll?
I think if you go back to talk to Oak, you can change your mind and kill him.

BTW, for the cruel quest, why get skill point if you can get 4% cast speed? That is worth more than a skill point since you are spending 3 skill points anyway to get 10% cast speed.

My friend told me he had the option to change his mind on the first bandit, so I tried on Oak but the only option it is giving me is to take the Apex from Oak. =(
BTW, I noticed that for the leveling progression builds, you take the cast speed nodes near the start but for the final build on your first post, you dont have them anymore, but you do take them near the shadow tree? Is there a point to respec like this? Why waste the respec points and just skip the ones in the beginning all together?

So which one is the more up to date one, the leveling spec or the one on first post? Thanks.
