Projectile speed doesn't matter right? I happened to get a 5% Ice spear and have been leveling it up alongside my regular one and it is only 1 level behind. 15% projectile speed maybe only matters when a monster is running around dodging the spears.


quality matters a lot. if quality gives u extra stats like cast speed u can save a few nodes on the passive tree urself. then again not many people can get a GMP, even less a 15% quality GMP.

projectile speed matters alot, that's why in my "goals item" description i said quality works very well with ice spear because i had a 18% quality ice spear and ya, rape.


Ah okay, last I saw the OP it was not updated with all this stuff. At least I have a 5% ice spear for now. Are you sure that the cast speed from quality GMP is only as good as % fromnodes and not somehow otherwise multiplying?

Realm is crashed now and I have to go vacation until Sunday night, but like I said, I am missing 18% cast speed from the two spots at witch/shadow start, plus I have none from any gear and my totem cast speed is still -decent-. If I add this it will really be machine guns.

My only twist on your build I can think of is to try increased duration linked to a quality conversion trap and should be able to get duration to 12+ seconds easily. The +duration will also extend the burning on fire trap AFAIK.

I am using level 1 GMP because I had it before I can get LMP from quests. I also haven't been able to find an elemental weakness offered below 5 chaos. I ignored discipline, so at some point should grab it from my quest rewards and level it.
Does mines still work? I was thinking of going with arc + chain in mines if they're still viable..

I think mines still work. Anything besides you running around and hitting stuff or casting spells yourself. Still, I played around with the freeze mine and it seems very tedious to use. I feel like you will be better off with traps and that is the way I am headed. Would a couple stacks of shock be that worth it? You will only be able to lay a few mines at once.

Well, I got bear trap, fire trap and the conversion one. I'm not overly impressed with them, but I was thinking that with arc + chain + lightning penetration or something else in a mine I could toss the mines while hiding behind my totems and get sick aoe-damage/burst! I've had the sickest day, got GMP, remote mine, bear trap, conversion trap, chain.. more stuff probably that I don't remember atm. Can't wait to get some more dex so I can use GMP!

Edit: Just realized I can't toss mines, any idea of the range on arc if I blow one up? might be sup optimal but still nice when kiting or when enemies are close to the totems!
