Why on earth would you not link your auras with reduced mana ?

Yeah. Well, given his setup I could see running discipline without reduced mana. Move discipline to the hole in his boots, chrom a red in his shield for reduced mana for purity and clarity.

I'm not really sure why summon skeletons needs reduced mana and minion speed on it, but whatever. Could ditch minion speed and put discipline there so all of them are reduced mana. I tend to prefer linking skellies to faster casting, but whatever.

I'd like to use this build as a magic find build (dont want spark totems), and so dont want to spec into CI because I want to use the low life IIR boots. Can someone please suggest what I should be aware of if I dont spec into CI and otherwise leave the build pretty much the same?? thanks very much :)

Hi, sorry for not reaading all 149 pages, however, noticing that each far end of the path almost reaches two other class starting points..

has anyone tried to make this build work with either a templar or a shadow?

I ran it for a while as a templar:

Build

I got tired of it and re-rolled, but it worked quite well. It is an amazing party support build. I used windscream for triple curse and had elemental proliferation in the totem link, freezing everything and debuffing the heck out of it will make you very popular with groups.

Not a good solo build, since no spectres. Honestly even with spectres I dunno why you'd choose this build if your goal was to solo.

@magic,

I am glad that I asked, however im a bit confused to how/why specters get dropped from the build when going from the templar side? Further, how does starting from templar change the build from "best solo build" to party only?

thanks for your time :)

The title of the thread is sort of misleading.

The spectre version of the dual ice spear build is the best solo variation of the dual ice spear build. It is not, by any means, the best solo build among all possible builds.

Spectre is just one variation of the dual ice spear build - the strongest solo variation. In my opinion adding spectres to dual ice spear totem is like putting a spoiler on a pickup. Sure, maybe it helps a little if you're racing, but if you're racing, why the fuck are you driving a pickup to begin with?

I'd rather invest in stronger suspension for my pickup, so I can haul heavier loads. That is, focus on what the build is good at. What the dual ice spear + dual (or more) curse build is good at is crowd control and debuffing.
I have a simply question. What do you use as fith Gem for your Ice Spear Skill

This is what im just use :

Ice Spear, Spell Totem, GMP , Faster Cast, elemental proliferation.

Do you think theres a better 5th Skill than ele prol. ? Maybe added cold Damage ?
Ele proliferation is the best for crowd control, obviously. For damage the best is increased critical damage.
Hey,

I am doing higher level maps (up to 75) on a regular basis with a group and my group loves me. :)
I really see this build as a group support build, so I use 3 curses (ele weakness, temp chains and enfeeble on higher maps) and elemental proliferation to freeze all the mobs. Yeah, damage isn't great but not everyone in the group needs to do tons of damage.. :)
From my expecience, you really don't need spectres at all if you run with a group, so I already dropped the Ullr boots some time ago and I am about to respec the points I put into minion life.

Now I only have a bit over 5500 ES, so I am wondering how much ES I would get from the Body and Soul node in the Templar starting area? Can you tell me how I would calculate that? Is there maybe some tool for such things?

Thanks in advance :)
