FPS Drops when Fighting
Where is that feature on the catalyst control settings?
Edit: Is it Gaming -> 3D Applications -> "Wait for vertical refresh" ? If so, you put it on the performance side on always off, right? Last edited by Shayd_#7847 on Dec 30, 2012, 12:23:02 PM

" That's what I did, and it helped quite a bit. And as it is such so also as such is it unto you

Ah okay. So you do that and turn off VSync ingame? I'll try that.

I don't think it matters either way as long as that setting in the control panel is set to off.

same problem here...
i have a highend pc i7 2600k 3.4ghz hd 7970 latest driver i play on 120hz, i always have 120fps with vsync on, without vsync i have 200-300fps, but all of a sudden sometimes my fps goes for 0.5-1sec too 1-5fps... exactly the same as the op. dunno, if i turn vsync off i get screen tearing, so its no choice. maybe it is cause the game is on an hdd? instead of an ssd? i try reinstall it later when i get the game cd and move it to my ssd. would be cool if its fixable, cause right now it doesnt make fun... |

its purely because particles...every friking effect particles tonne of em, environement effects= particles...combine two at same time when there's horde of mobs with particle aura+spell casting of particles, causes heavy stress spikes...not even frikin supercomputers could handle smoothly all stress biggest fights can cause
