Yes, you're right, the ladder should stay up afterwards for a period.
No, you shouldn't cry like a child because you didn't win. Well played anyway.
well, i had a great time. it was my first time playing a strenght class in a race and also first time progressing to cruel. i love it. so much damage.

got second templar by 300k exp. made some bad decisions, such as going for fetid and dweller. also no ms boots :c

i was very lucky with weapons.

23 orbs, 1 chaos, 1 alchemy, rest junk. 2nd day with this. Some shit luck. I love doing the races, but wish I got better orbs. =/
Decided to try 2 handed axe/sword for the first time in 3hour solo. Seems like desync was more present for me in this race than usual, whenever i cleaved or used double strike it often dealt damage way later than i used it. That delayed damage made me often mistook hits for misses, and I think it somewhat slowed my farming. (resolute op with lag/desync, since you always know the dmg is just delayed)

Act 1 went pretty normal albeit slow, never got decent weapons but lucked great necklace and gloves from brutus, and nice boots from merveil. Biggest setback was the global disconnection in act2, just when I had cleared up to weaver, I was forced to have both dark forest and weaver's reseted, so it took long to find entrance again and clear all the stuff. Trash weapon rolls up to the double axe I alched.

Run ended 1900xp something short of lvl 32, ran out of things at ledge to kill very inconveniently :)

Grindis is king of MS boots. Always has them.

Neizv I think you were 300k short of me. Was a good run nonetheless, GL next time!

temple of exiles shows me above him there as well

My site would have still been updating to the last sequence when you looked, but poe.com did stop providing stats 1 minute earlier this race, so I had to roll it back 1 minute, it seems like poestatistics is having some issue here as well because their final scoreboard is incorrect.

Here is the final scoreboard:

http://www.templeofexiles.com/ladder-race/84/xpgraph
Average race with subpar results. Started well with move boots from vendor after hillock, then several strong weapons before flats. The good luck ended there as i must have had near 10 maps where i had to explore the entire thing to find the exit, everything from lower submerged to waterfall 1. Think i spent 5 minutes searching for the tree in crossings alone. Also got a cruel worthy weapon with linked slots but of off colors, took 5 chromes to finally get something besides the original colors reversing repeatedly. Frustrating. Aside from one alch just before waterfall, the rest of my gear was average at best.

Got that global disconnect in a non problematic location (early crossings), but it ate one of my items and i realized i didnt have a slot for phase run once i went back out, forcing me to waste a trans on a generic junk item with a green slot from the vendor. Bosses were all np as usual in non-turbo.

Tons of desyncs this time, none bailworthy though i did have flasks all refuse to respond so many times while surrounded in weaver that i had to bail to that instead. Alot of monsters teleporting and plenty of ghost damage taken too.

Decided not to continue to oversoul with just over an hour left and stayed at waterfall 2, which proved to be a poor decision. What could have been a lvl30 run turned into barely making lvl27, and farming waterfall has also become annoying as fuck ever since that "cant target enemies near walls" bug was introduced.

Feedback:

- Resists on act/quest bosses: Please remove. Arbitrarily hosing various builds in normal where they might not have a backup plan available is pretty unnecessary and "your build randomly needs to deal 50% more total damage to this boss!" adds frustration, not challenge.

- I wore a torso during the brutus and kraityn battles; that slot was otherwise empty. I wont wear a shield outside of those same battles either. Thanks to the implicit move penalites, this is the case in every short term race, and im certain many/most other top racers do the same. Ive seen dev comments mentioning that the penalty isnt listed because it makes players dislike the item, so why have such a penalty in the first place? Seems like just another poorly thought out copy paste from d2 thatd be better off gone.

4th place shadow, 14th overall and lvl27 in the end.

GG all!

I had one on the whole race, as I just don't feel comfortable without it. That said, if I had mine off and didn't missread what level I Was when I left ledge, I thought I Was 8 and in actuality I was 7, I would have ended this race around level 31-33. I had one of my best races ever in terms of items\downtimes\vaal finding\killing times.

I do think the chest thing is kind of out dated.

I totally agree with the chest thing, as a ranger, I find dumb that I have to be chestless to truly benefit of my movement speed passive :S
