[1.2.0] How to Smash Heads.Guide for a CI Facebreaker Witch with Infernal blow2
I'm sorry, maybe I'm just having trouble reading the example items + support skills correctly. However, I cannot seem to wrap my head around what gems go in which sockets except for the chest, which is obvious.
Can someone tell me how I should organize my gems per item given the following: Head (4 sockets - 4 link - i can do any color or # links) Gloves (4 sockets - 4 link - i can do any color or # links) Boots (4 sockets - 4 link - i can do any color or # links) Shield (3 sockets - 3 link - i can do any color or # links) I wish to use Temporal Chains for my curse. Based on this build, i'm seeing I need the following in some combinations Cast When Damage Taken Temporal Chains Molten Shell Decoy Totem Enduring Cry Increased Area of Effect Blood Rage Reduced Mana Hatred Discipline Life Leech ?? (in the guide it's attached to Enduring Cry, does this really work?) If someone could please give me the ideal gem setup/placement and their levels (max,1,5,etc) I would really appreciate it. Thanks! |

Well about the gem combinations... just look at my gear ... and do the same...
The gem levels should be as high as possible( due to high dex reqirements you can't get maxed Blood Rage but that is not a big problem ) EXCEPT for the gems that i've specificly stated that they should be lower levels. Where will you put the gems is up to you and IT DOESN'T MATTER. You can put your Hatred-Discipline-Reduced Mana anywhere you want - boots, gloves, shield it does exactly the same so it doesn't matter. In my opinion you CAN'T use tempest shield because you'll have no mana! LIfe leech is there because it has to be somewhere.. i use it instead of melee physical damage in ele reflect maps and it doesn't benefit enduring cry ( as already explained around 4 times in the thread) "I'm going to show you pain you never knew existed, you're going to see a whole new spectrum of pain!!!!! Like a RAINBOW!"

Thanks very much, one final question.
On your alternate shield you have: Added Fire Damage (max) - red Nothing - blue Empower (lvl 1) - red Do you actually use any skills in this shield or do you just swap to it for the fight real quick? I'm assuming you're just leveling other gems in there? |
|
Yup just leveling. Which reminds me that i need to swap Added fire damage with something else.. anyway when i swap the shield i don't put the EC+CWDT on the rathpith globe shield... the loss in not that big.. and im lazy :D

well i've been having so much fun with this build that didn't post for a long time. My dps is still half of urs (23k with frenzy charges and a 5L infernal blow) but it still wipes out pretty much everything. I'm still lvl 76 but been doing lvl 74 rare maps with no problems.
Only difficult map combos i found was -max res + ele reflect. Can do even maps with phy reflect + vulnerability lol So my final verdict is: Great build! Gear not at all overpriced compared to the power it brings (only abt 25 ex in total for me, which is 1/4 of what a half decent dagger for all the shadow crit builds cost) Best part is the flexibility with map mods. I can alch any map without having to worry about it spawning with some mods which wud make me reroll it. Yesterday I roflstomped a 73 map with 2 oaks jumping on me and vulnerability curse.. I give it a 9/10 (1 less because of the limited mf we can stack, but the huge IIQ bonus from rare maps makes up for it a bit) Last edited by nightblade157#6640 on Dec 9, 2013, 2:23:12 PM

I never died solo the maps, but yesterday I died twice during lv74 map boss killing, one is caster twins-boss and one is melee boss during grouping because only me fighting the boss.

A small adjustment I made to the build that my life easier.
Is to buy a 20% blood rage gem and stick it on one of the low level CWDT, keeping it at level 1-5 You only lose 1% leech between level 1-16, and I doubt anyone will have it over level 13 with the dex requirments. The quality provides an additional 4% leech and you get an instant cast whenever you engage a mob. IGN: HarroHarbinger

Hi KorgothBG. I'm level 84 now and have below question for passive tree setup:
Should I start to pick up the four points for Sovereignty first for more Aura effect, or to pick up Nullification for more ES at first? PLS kindly give me your comments. I have around 4700 ES with aura and 30K DPS with three frenzy. Thank you. Below is my current passive tree: Last edited by aresina#5614 on Dec 10, 2013, 4:51:52 AM

Yea that's also a possibility.. it's just that i cast it once... and pretty much i don't need to recast it in the entire map... but that's just me

" I decided to pick up the Nullification first and below is my modified passive tree: Removed the +10% and + 12% res and get +8% from Nullification, and I have my all res on max now: 77 for light and fire. and 82 for cold. Now I got almost 5K ES with Aura. Last edited by aresina#5614 on Dec 10, 2013, 5:16:42 AM
