[1.1.1]-[The Auramancer] Multi-aura Shadow Summoner & Support - Updated 03/17

Hey thanks a bunch for the detailed feedback, it was very helpful. I figured out a way to make the BM guys work for me. I snapshot with the Sidhebreath and chober, and use the minion life gem. Also, I am running vitality discipline and purity now, and just living with the low mana. I don't need mana cause I don't really do anything. The BM at my level and poorness is well worth it, because they own everything on screen. I remember reading about you thinking concentrated effect might work on these guys, and I am wondering if you ever figured out if it does work? I am useing a Rime Gaze helm right now; b/c instead of useing remote mine, the CE and increased AOE work together to produce a simialr effect I think, with out the annoying RM summoning process. I think at some point I could phase out minion life and then it might be even more crazy damage. IF you know a easy way to raise spectres with RM, let me know, cause I keep on raising other stuff and then having to find 3 more all over, it can be annoying.

One more question, did you figure out a way to make the Burning miscreation turn on their Righteous Fire Skill? Sometimes it's annoying to wait around for them to feel the heat...

That's a nice way to snapshot! good job.
Probably Conc effect will work also with BM's but not tested yet.
The easiest way to raise spectres with RM is to clean every other corpse raising zombies, then throw the RM on top of the corpse you want to rise as a spectre.

BM's "activate" after a short time in combat, i dont know how much and it seems to be random, or at least variable.
After activating righteous fire, they keep in that state untill they die.

After further testing and investigation, i realized that redbeak is not a good addition to the build, and grants poor benefits to it.

Yeah the build is perfect, but i will pick Clear Mind as we need chaos resist.

Multistrike is not an active skill, it is a support gem, so basically makes the zombies attack 3 times in a row. With a really low attack speed, Multistrike is a really good buff to zombie damage, and helps keeping the enemy chilled.

I like the changes, thanks for keeping the build so up to date.

I have a few questions:

First, why did you decide to spec out of all the trap damage nodes? IS the added damage just not worth it? Does the effect not work the way you thought originally?

Second, have you tested if righteous fire while summoning spectres stays with the spectre as a sort of 'snap shot spell damage increase'?

and have you considered getting the leadership wheel of aura skills instead of those ES skills over by the trap damage for a more party centric build?

One thing I am considering is useing item rarity gem in with my spectres as well as culling strike with the titty bitches perhaps to make a mf culling strike summoner. Have you tried culling strike with spectres?

Yes, basically it does not affect spectres because those nodes only increase your damage, not spectre damage. I thought in the begining that will increase the RM damage and do "increased more" damage. Let me explain:

Case 1: Link Remote Mine with Fireball and get mine damage nodes
-Remote Mine adds MORE damage to the fireball
-Mine damage nodes adds INCREASE damage to the fireball YOU cast.

Case 2: Link Remote Mine with Spectre and get mine damage nodes
-Remote Mine adds MORE damage to the Spectre, as the description says.
-Mine damage nodes does not add damage because you are not doing any damage, and there is no damage to increase.

Remember to keep in mind who is doing the damage. When you summon a totem/trap/mine, YOU are doing the damage. With spectres is not the case, so those nodes are useless.

Remote Mine is a really strange support gem, and i think GGG will remove it from the possible spectre link combination in a nearly patch. Why is that ? Because we have already a support gem that increases minion damage and RM is way too more powerfull.

Have not tested it and i think it wont be usefull because it increases spell damage, and remote mine is not a spell, its a mine. Spell damage do not increase trap/mine damage.

Leadership is really usefull at early game, playing with a necro, because it helps you keeping up all your auras with your frenzied zombies.
In late game i dont think its a good choice because leveling auras and aura quality increases a lot aura radius.

Yeah i have tried and its quite powerfull, and you can combine it with IR to make a mf/necro. It is a good idea but my zombies/spectres do enough damage and i dont play as a MF...

Hello, first off thanks for this great guide. Im new to this game and this would be my first character. Im level 26 so far and am doing well. I noticed though that even with minion life and resistance, zombies seem to die pretty quick. Is there a way around this? Also, what aura do you recommend I should use for leveling right now? And what skills should I be focusing on getting first?

My current setup is using vulnerabilty on mobs with zombies and raised skeletons as my army (will be linked to spell totem when I reach required level). Also, can you recommend some good leveling gears?

I've posted before different ways to level up. You need to get asap raise zombie and raise spectre so they level up faster. Minion gems are crap below level 10.

In the first 40 lvls, just play as a spell caster, get your favourite skills and use em, following the passive skill tree progression i've posted in the main. You will be fine.

I recommend to lvl up using armor and life gear with hp nodes, and you respec those later. Also try to use in the first levels, if you are playing as a full necro and have crappy gear, enfeeble. It will help you a lot keeping your army alive.
