even with the smap shoot, and all the manipulation on game mechanics,
an MF with so much DPS, and with 8 auras for all the party is a top 5 built,
nothing is killing me but spacific bosses in this mod,
and i have a spellcester DPS mode with 94/84/84/75 res, and immortal call after eachshoot for 2sec, wich makes me strong against any boss, but dominus 78...
and i have DPS of 27K cold, 9.5K chaos and RF in AOE of 21K fire,
isent it a top tier spell caster? that have very good MF + DPS + auras, or good DPS + auras + 75 chaos?
I think this would be a very good solo MF build, buddy. It definitely fits the bill of a top tier spell caster.
But for the purpose of the thread, and my definition of top-tier being "an amazing mix of DPS and damage mitigation" as stated in OP, I would not include this MF build in the top 5.
Of course, I'm already in the process of inducting a RF build into the top 5, just for your information.
if you think of puting an RF built, this is top spellcaster, in DPS mode (only 39 IIR) about 70K DPS + 14K RF, i play with groups, can do all kind of bosses, in allmost any mods, can't take on 78 dinomos.... yet!
but.... the best thing about this built.... is i have many many mods, so if i'm bord, i can change my salf:
1. MF with 28K DPS FP + 14K RF, 8 auras, res are 94,84,84,-60
2. DPS mode with 70K FP + 14K RF, 8 auras, res are 94,84,84,75
3. COC power siphon built with 2 fireballs, about 80K DPS (hard to tell) + 14K RF, 8 auras, res are 94,84,84,75
4. wander, power siphon with 8K toll tip (with chain and LMP so it's alot more)+ 14K RF,8 auras, res are 94,84,84,75, with crown of eyes
5.fliker striker low life + RF, 11K per hit, 8.5 hits per sec, + RF 14K, 8 auras, res are 94,84,84,75, with crown of eyes
to make the built change, all i need is 10 regrets (5 each way), and about 400 chroms, total of less then an ex, and i can play a diferent built....
and all are pretty strong.... and for the flike and wander i don't even have gear.... lol
i think that my generic built worth a top 5.... see the tree, its exacly perfect.... and 5 nodes can be changed.... to a hole deferent built...

from all this builds wich one would be the most cheap to rum as a 1st character and able to do high lvl maps with good utility for groups and solo gameplay?
Builds that require hundreds of exalts worth of gear to really shine, are quite pointless to put in a guide, tbh, even if their awesomeness factor is high.

Of course, people expect to do ultimate stuff in 1 week of playing.
And I don't think this is a list of top 5 guides by the opinion of the OP, build and guide is not the same.
