3. Pick up a +Str Amulet / Belt and stack armor all the way.

4. Use Freezing Pulse AoE, Spark Single Target, Cold Nova to Freeze Blues / Yellows.

2. Lightning Warp into Group of Enemies
3. Discharge and go DOUBLE BOOM!!!
4. Repeat

Use Fireball vs single target enemies ( kill surrounding with Molten Shell )



Elemental Equilibrium:

We will be using Ice Nova and Tempest shield to apply -50% fire resists for Molten Shell and Discharge, this is a HUGEEEEEEEE damage boost ( up to 3x damage vs 75% resists mobs ).



Molten Shell Damage:

Disclaimer: This Damage is based on a CRIT + Tripple Shock Charge!

817–1226 Molten Shell Damage
206% Spell Damage from Passives
50% Spell Damage from Doedre's Tenure
110% Spell Damage from Wand
80% Burning Damage from Passives
53% Burning Damage from Increased Burning Damage Support
90% Shock Damage
90% Crit Damage from Basic % and Passives
100% Crit Damage from Increased Critical Damage Support

I think it works like this ( correct me if I'm wrong )
Avarage Molten Shell Damage * Total Spell Damage * Crit Damage * Shock Damage = Fire Damage
4/3 of Fire Damage * Increased Burning Damage * Shock Damage = Ignite Damage

Initial Damage:
( 817 + 1226 ) / 2 = 1021 Fire Damage
1021 * 4.66 ( 366% Spell Damage ) = 4758
4758 * 1.9 Shock Damage = 9040 Fire Damage
9040 * 2.9 Crit Damage = 26216 Fire Damage

Ignite Damage:
4/3 ( Burn Damage ) * of 26216 = 34955 Ignite Damage
34955 * 2.33 ( 133% Burning Damage ) = 81445 Ignite Damage
81445 * 1.9 Shock Damage = 154745 Ignite Damage

26216 + 154745 = 180961 Total Fire Damage with 1x Molten Shell

Not even calculating damage with Quality Gems....

Please let me know if my calculations are off :)

Your main post lacks a gameplay section where where you explain how the build is supposed to be played. Also, i'm guessing that since there are no actual gear links, you haven't played that build. You should probably write a bit more around it, explaining how you would make it work, and ask if some Nemesis' players can tell you whether this would be viable or not.

I am no hardcore player, but i'm pretty sure that the perandus crest on its own is way too expensive to be a prerequisite. We're talking about a 40% native block chance shield in a hardcore league.

Furthermore, having seen quite a few "molten shell" builds being suggested here and there, I'd say you run the following risks :

1 ) Boring gameplay - casting molten shell and doing nothing waiting for it to pop isn't appealing to me.
2 ) Weaker monsters lacking damage to actually break your molten shell before it expires
3 ) Stronger monsters (brutus ?) hitting way too hard while being too tanky to outright die to molten shell.

I got a level 62 templar using this build, so I do know what I'm talking about.
Will add a gameplay section now.

Perandus Crest is 2-3 Chaos.

1. It's not boring, you use lighting warp to go in and shield explodes instantly because of the high block chance / damage mitigation.
2. There are no "weaker" monsters, Molten Shell only sucks when fighting 100% casters, which is why I have fireball with me ( those packs are "skippable" though )
3. Just cast fireballs while dodging his hooks, easy mode. What I did before I figured I should use fireball is using a granite flask while dodging his slam with shield charge. ( around 70% block chance = easy brutus anyway )

Perandus is a pretty common drop (poe.xyz lists 99+ atm). Even in nemesis it should be available for 1-2 chaos.

@OP: is this theorycraft or something you actually played? I'm asking because i make it a prerequisite for a build to have been played to be linked at witch build list

High block %, 75% all resists, High Armor and stuff dies instantly so I don't really see your problem? My 62 templar has 1.8k hp and is running through merciless so easly lol. Would prefer this over any 3k hp build without armor and block any day.
