We will be using Ice Nova and Tempest shield to apply -50% fire resists for Molten Shell and Discharge, this is a HUGEEEEEEEE damage boost ( up to 3x damage vs 75% resists mobs ).

" Your main post lacks a gameplay section where where you explain how the build is supposed to be played. Also, i'm guessing that since there are no actual gear links, you haven't played that build. You should probably write a bit more around it, explaining how you would make it work, and ask if some Nemesis' players can tell you whether this would be viable or not. I am no hardcore player, but i'm pretty sure that the perandus crest on its own is way too expensive to be a prerequisite. We're talking about a 40% native block chance shield in a hardcore league. Furthermore, having seen quite a few "molten shell" builds being suggested here and there, I'd say you run the following risks : 1 ) Boring gameplay - casting molten shell and doing nothing waiting for it to pop isn't appealing to me. 2 ) Weaker monsters lacking damage to actually break your molten shell before it expires 3 ) Stronger monsters (brutus ?) hitting way too hard while being too tanky to outright die to molten shell. " Thanks for your comment. I got a level 62 templar using this build, so I do know what I'm talking about. Will add a gameplay section now. Perandus Crest is 2-3 Chaos. 1. It's not boring, you use lighting warp to go in and shield explodes instantly because of the high block chance / damage mitigation. 2. There are no "weaker" monsters, Molten Shell only sucks when fighting 100% casters, which is why I have fireball with me ( those packs are "skippable" though ) 3. Just cast fireballs while dodging his hooks, easy mode. What I did before I figured I should use fireball is using a granite flask while dodging his slam with shield charge. " Perandus is a pretty common drop (poe.xyz lists 99+ atm). Even in nemesis it should be available for 1-2 chaos. @OP: is this theorycraft or something you actually played? I'm asking because i make it a prerequisite for a build to have been played to be linked at witch build list |

" High block %, 75% all resists, High Armor and stuff dies instantly so I don't really see your problem? My 62 templar has 1.8k hp and is running through merciless so easly lol. Would prefer this over any 3k hp build without armor and block any day. |
