Why do the Reduced Duration have to be level 1? Why not level 20 or replace them entirely?


Well here's the thing. Reduced Duration even at level 1 makes your traps instant. However, because the gem is new, and there isn't a lot of info on them, I'm not sure if they also reduce the length of status ailments. Whether the gem is 1 or 20, it still does the job it's intended to do which is instant traps, so I'm just playing it safe by leaving them at level 1 in case it does affect status ailment length.

I see that you suggest using Concentrated Effect as a support for Fire Trap. I'm pretty sure it was Increased Crit Damage when you first posted this thread.
What made you switch Crit to Concentrated Effect?

From what I understand (http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Concentrated_Effect) Concentrated Effect:
- reduces trap trigger radius
- reduces fire explosion radius
- reduces burning ground radius
- reduces proliferation radius

Increases the damage of #s 2-4 by 70% MORE damage, not just increased. It's -30% radius, and I'm wearing a Divinarius and Carcass Jack, so basically it's back to "normal" radius when all is said and done.

Also, I have a node that's +10% trigger radius in my build, and a Q20 Multi Traps is another 20% radius which means the trigger radius goes back to "normal" as well.

Nice build, leveling it on Nemesis and it's fun to play. I'm about to face Dominus, any trapper play style tips on this fight?

Hi!

when i saw your build ,i got interrested in it and tryed it out .im currently lvl66 on nemesis and got only problems with dominius on cruel .

my question is ,are the node critical strike for spells only useful for frostnova or coldsnap ,because wiki tells me traps are not spells ?

The only "hard" part about Dominus that I felt was his "human" form and that lightning/ghost shit he sprays out. Besides that it was rather easy.

The only other "wonky" thing to look for during that fight is the cyclone guy that you first fight. He breaks your traps pretty often so you're gonna have to time your traps more than spray and pray

I really like your build but I think it could be a bit better with Scion so I took your build and adapted it. By starting with Scion I was able to get 32% extra life, 40% extra mana regen, 24% more mana, and a bit more strength. To get all that I had to spec out of elemental damage nodes and the aura nodes since you didn't really seem to be utilizing auras much and I got alot more mana from Scion area.
Here's my Version.
I'm only telling you this because I would like to hear your opinion on it since it is your build and you have played it, you are more apt to know if my changes are good or not before I play with them.

Loving the build so far, just a couple questions.

First- the three elemental nodes at the beginning of the shadow tree seem like a pretty big buff, what are your thoughts on them? Is the buff just not worth losing the points at higher levels?

Second- Thoughts on conversion trap?
