DonaldF's EK DANMAKU Ranger Extremely High DPS /Jan.14 little update [Videos]

Thanks a ton the big nasty. I just hit 74 and got elusiveness and a few more scion hp nodes and I really see a massive improvement in my survivability.

Now the only things that literally destroy me lighting thorns and physical reflect. I'm thinking of going to val pact but not sure yet.
crit chance is more important than spell damage
if you dont crit enough then whats the point of spell damage?
just asking to have leech problems

@vaesauce
any chance I can see your current rings?

@nauarashaun
swap grace for purity, you will notice a big difference then work on getting Hp over 2k

There's nothing you can do build wise to adjust for thorns/reflect. Them's the brakes.

I'm not a fan of Vaal Pact for this type of build or when combined with Cyclone, but if you have the regrets/points, give it a shot and let us know how you like it. To me, it seems like a lot of points to get to that could be better spent. Since cyclone can send you off in other directions, I like having the option for potions, regen, and residual healing from leech. I also hate doing maps that have a DoT with Vaal Pact.
Is the new "best" build he found going to derail original build by a lot?

I'm just starting but I'm worried if i will have enough regret points '-' If you know what will change or improved passive tree than original donald posted, please tell me!

I doubt the passives are going to change much, if at all. This build is and will be still focused on crit chance. I'm guessing he's just changing some of the skill gems. Most likely to do with the CwDT gems seeing as they were the only things that have changed in the patch.
I found out that putting Multistrike on the Cyclone heavilly contributes to Desync.
Allmost every other time i use cyclone clipping occurs.

I understand the developers want the game synchronized with the servers... but does the position of characters and monsters really has to be synchronized every second?
I actually wonder too why Donald doesn't post his ideas. So far we have been quite good with finding little flaws and testing stuff.

Plus I'm very curious.

I personally use Multistrike in my 6L and I can attest to this. I desync like you wouldn't believe. That being said, I also have a macro for /oos that I spam pretty frequently to help with this.. THAT being said, I still find myself in sticky situations quite often and if I weren't enjoying destroying Dominus so much I'd probably rage at all the deaths and lost xp I've built up.

On a side note, I was reading through some earlier pages about the importance of crit/sp on your daggers. In my recent experience I went from a 7% chance to crit dagger to a 9.1% dagger. The amount of crits/EK procs I get is amazingly higher to say the least. If you were going to lose 50% spell damage simply to get the extra crit, it's worth it. Hands down.
It has probably been covered, but any reason you dont use Greater multiple for spectral throw? Should work better right?
