DonaldF's EK DANMAKU Ranger Extremely High DPS /Jan.14 little update [Videos]
I love this build and quite enjoy it. I will have to say though I modified it a bit for evasion because I did not want to take IR and such. I went for way more crit and a bit more phys damage with my daggers for the leech. I seem to do alright in maps I'm currently 69 and I can do solo 66-69 maps. Problem I keep running into is getting spiked out as soon as I'm cursed.
I run desync(aka cyclone) along with purity and hatred. My build is as follows: http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgIAAAYAXgR-BX0FtQX5CC4OSBGWFfAV9ha_GY4a2yP2JDwmlTIBNns6WEk7SVFKfVBCVUtW6lb6WkhabVuvXfJe-mHiYnlirGegcFJwVnDVdEF3138rh3aH24hCjDaP-pAblwaaE5smm42do52qoi6jiqc0p1yyGbSjwcXEos3qz3rQ7tN-1CPWitad29TdDd7253To1uwY7YPuDu967_DyHfPq96P5Y_yr_MU= My gear is

Now my question is would everything be so much easier if I was to spec into IR and all that? I keep seeing people asking about survivability of this. My stats are all resist 75(with purity) and about 3500 health (more coming). What are ya'lls opinions on this variation of the normal build. Do you think I would have a lot more survivability just from running IR + grace? Also if I changed out my Offhand to a dagger with 50%spell damage + 70% crit would it make that much difference in damage? Edit: Please excuse any rambling or duplicate items, at work and people keep bringing me things to fix. Last edited by KHAAAANNNN#2784 on Nov 20, 2013, 4:20:17 PM

" you're crazy for not running IR, EK is a phys spell dmg, reflect will rape ur evasion to pieces, only armour can migitate that, and a perfect dagger would have 9%+crit chance, spell dmg, spell crit, and attack speed. Last edited by aznsky01#6008 on Nov 20, 2013, 4:20:31 PM

Hello All,
Started levelling a ranger using this build. I'm still using desynclone as it does more damage and you are able to put more EKs to your 6l. My items still are in great need of upgrade, especially since I am not running purity yet to cap my resists (75/66/60 atm). Tried farming Piety and I am able to do so quite decently. My previous build was Quill Rain CoC EK so these two builds have a lot in common. However, the amount of crit chance you get with daggers compared to bows is absurd. My gear for reference (low spelldamage, high crit):

Any suggestions on what to upgrade first and similar? |

I've been working on this build as a Scion and prefer it to the ranger. Takes a few more levels before the build becomes viable, but it ends up with more life/ev/crit/res.

Don't be a dick, post your build.
Pretty please :). |

I bought because I was tired of being frozen. However, after using it I am not to sold on it. Should i sell it it and just get a higher resist ring?

You end up with more total crit, more evasion, more all resists, more life (with more available if you feel you need them). Next would be to work towards Elusiveness or Heart of Oak, depending on your gear. Berserking is another option if you wanted more attack speed. The two nodes above Pressure Points are also an option, depending on your gear and needs. Overall I feel the Scion gives more flexibility than Ranger for this particular build, but certainly both can work. |

" You certainly lose a lot by using that ring on this build and feel the benefits don't outweigh the negatives. Unless you need the money, I would recommend hanging onto it and either swap when appropriate or keep for another build. |
