DonaldF's EK DANMAKU Ranger Extremely High DPS /Jan.14 little update [Videos]

Well, damnit. I spent the last four days leveling up a Ranger along this build tree, only in the mid 50s but was looking forward start transitioning from 2H Spectral Throw to Dual Wield daggers & EK. Any ideas what I can do with this base and 12 respec points?

Now that multiple EK is dead, what other spells would you guys recommend?

My setup was Cyclone - Life Leech - CoC - EK - EK - EK

Will probably go Cyclone - Life Leech - CoC - Increased Crit Chance - EK - ???

Well thank you for testing it and confirming. I am the cyclone style and im trying out different combinations of gems now. I am going to play around with ice nova and look at others from there and I will try and report back.

guys they DID NOT nerf CoCS. If anything, this new patch made this build far more viable with far less gear (+20% chance to cast). Also, this build desyncs sooooo often without the cd because it is simply too much happening in the same ms. 10ms is a negligible time but chances are itll fix many of the desync issues

EK already hits a target multiple time, it fires 10 projectiles. GMP will add 5 more to it but it will lower the damage by 60%. So it's kinda pointless to use GMP or LMP with EK.

dont give up ppls u can still do what u did before. things u need to remember probly....its not dead.

this actually will improve ur survivability. if u can get head out of the box.

the best advice i can give atm is replace one ek with stormcall/arc/coldsnap. u will double ur survivability with coldsnap freezes and become a mobile freeze mine. shock stacks from the lightning spells will bring things down faster than before.

this also makes attak speed even more important than before. get scion attack speed nodes. ur crits with cyclone will actualy trigger more procs of CoC.

this further opens up possibility for different chests. i could never get past the idea of cyclone in a tabula. i didnt use it ever lol. volls prot is what i use. if u are a BM user then ur mana has no use at all and it wont matter how much reduced mana...if u have 10 mana u can still run ur auras. carcas jack is a more feasible option, color wise at least. just keep thinkin and this amazin build will continue.

well, even with this, my build is kinda dead. the problem isn't so much damage being nerfed - i use vaal pact and every 10 ms something can 1 shot me... my survivability feels like it's gone down a lot. The DPS definitely needed to come down, but not like this. Would've rather had a damage penalty from cast on crit or something rather than a cooldown.
