Aside from your damage varying because you don't crit 100% of the time, the charges have a damage range (28-534 for power charges on a lvl20 discharge). That means you end up with different final damage packages on different discharges. (I mixed the succession up on my above post. It's leech - reflect damage - leech - reflect damage ...)

BTW Other ways to avoid reflect damage that might play a role:
Reflect on ATTACKS can be evaded (using you accuracy), dodged and blocked.
Reflect on SPELLS can be blocked if you have spell block and dodged with phase acrobatics.

this happens to me too. i run in a pack of undying evangelists and then dc when right after i discharge. then i lose the map :/

This doesn't always happen - but I've run into this quite a few times; especially annoying when you run a chisseled map. You also lose the loot you collected while in the map. I can bet there's some kind of null pointer exception or division by zero, but it seems to be server-side related, and instance is no longer usable after that.

Great build. Leveling a witch right now for this. Is there a build that can easily transition into this until I get all the necessary gear? Don't have a lot of in game currency right now. Thanks

I think at this point I can write my summary about this build.

I started this build from the scratch. As far as the skilltree concerns I only took the ES nodes first. Afterwards I went to get the crit nodes etc. (It really depends on how much knowledge you have about 'your' Discharger). I used the Searing Touch Staff with the Firetrap for lvling, which is the best dps you can have so far. After I reached lvl 24 I was able to use the Discharge gem for the first time! But at this point everyone should be aware that you won't do shit with the trigger build setup. So I went ahead and just self-casted it everytime, which worked really great! At lvl 35 I could use my 5L Voll's Protector (I still use it). You don't use the Cwdt/Cws gem here. Something like Discharge-CritChance-CritMult-Lifeleech-PowerChargeOnCritical or smth else. With this setup you will easily reach Merciless and well... it is getting desperate at this point. You will die over and over again. Because you are pretty much a glass canon. Luckily I got a mate lvling up with me, so it was way easier to do so. Also farming Ledge/Fellshrine/Docks is a must, because you really want to rush merciless. Around level 78 or so I could spec into VP and CI simultaneously (I specced into Ghost Reaver way before and had like 3k ES). And this is the point where you gonna shine! Out of sudden the game will make 400% more fun! You will still die many times, but because you will experiment here and there. Honestly, I it is amazing to one shot himself :).

You will boost your survivability by another 400% by getting Shavronne's Revelation Ring ~8ex and another 400% by getting Voll's Devotion ~ 11ex. Both accessoires are the expensive part of this build, but also the key part.

Many people complaining about the party compatibility that this build is only for solo play. But this is not entirely true. I'm running in partys all the time and I have no problems with it, neither my mates. While your team is trying to clear one screen, you will do the same in the next screen, but 400% so fast! You run in first -> Explode -> Your splash mate one-two shots the remainings -> Repeat.

The only problem with this build is the single output dps on ES shielded mobs. And you can fix this with Voll's Devotion aswell.

I will change the gem setup on my Voidbringer with my Helmet as soon as I have a 400+ES one.
ES: 6k
Discharge dps: ~40k
CritChance (without charges): 85%
CritMult: 550%
Res (with auras): 75/75/75
Charges: 7P/4E/3F

My next step will be to get +2 Endurance Charges on the skill tree. One is locacted around VP and the other one around Resolute Technique.
