" I lol'd since with us we had Kotao go MIA for our kill on Merv and I had to run it again for him. Some misscommunication issues for us since not everyone was on VOIP. We will see what happens next time with our strat\voip worked out! Edit: Also curious since you seemed to have been the marauder lately for your party, are you still doing GS\Heavy as your main skills? Still doesn't seem to be anything better for this short of a race, but just curious since it feels so underwhelming compared to what I've traditionally been used to. And this name is so bright and so sharp that the sign - it just blows up because the name is so powerful... It says, "Diamond Supporter." Last edited by Morsexier#3505 on Dec 1, 2012, 8:32:39 PM

" yep nothing special, had extremely good luck with mauls... went anger over leap slam ran the defensive RT tree, not really needed for non-turbo but made the oversoul boss extremely easy voip extremely essential, we usually have shouting matches. even with many races and strat determined, it can vary quite a bit depending on gear IGN @dime Last edited by dime#0720 on Dec 1, 2012, 9:24:55 PM

My first race with a party over 2, seemned to go well considering we hadnt practiced and a couple of us didnt have voice. I went through the merveil tp a couple seconds too late and missed the quest, didnt really slow us down but it did lower Mors overall xp a bit as he reran her (thanks again!) due to having a better build for the task. Nothing else to note really.
Which brings me to my feedback: Races are way too easy partied. Almost no incoming damage, can break off from battle easily at any time and never get chased, only one player actually has to gear up for bosses or hard areas. At one point i ran out of flasks, didnt want to waste my 1 tp and just tagged along through half a zone with 15 life, never got close to taking damage and even leveled in the process (conveniently refilling my life and flasks). Id recommend changing the increased life to increased monster count but im not sure the engine/netcode could handle it considering it already flips out with packs of 15+ monsters. Bosses need to be full commit, no portals in/out once theyve been activated; having 1 player don 6 players worth of gear and easily lower the boss to a sliver of life while having infinite portals is ridiculous. They could use to have their gigantic life totals lowered too, as almost no build aside from a full glass cannon with strong drops can take act bosses down without towning for flask refills. Anyway it was still good times, probably get better as our coordination and execution improves. Party took 6-10th spots and i took 1st place shadow. Thanks to my party members and ggs all. Cya next race! IGN: KoTao

I hope GGG thinks about having the player able to choose if he wants to compete in party or play solo when a race starts in open beta. One of the main reasons I like path of exile is because of races but if I have 0% chance to win a party race as solo player its a waste of time to even play in. Not possible to compete with a witch in party who can get 5 levels above the highest ever in solo race. I am not even going to race in party hardcore anymore since for me aiming for first place means hoping the party witch players die. In closed beta having the races separate is understandable but with higher player count I think this would be a good idea while making everyone happy.

" Id like this too, simply because it would mean twice as many available solo or party races for everyone. Some sort of way to disable party invite toasts would be required though- itd be all to easy to get an invite as you were moving/firing to the lower right and randomly screw yourself out of a solo victory- but then the ability to individually disable all the various toasts and static ui elements could use to be added anyway. " Ok well my main question would be, how did Panda get 35? Why has no one come close ever, including himself? Granted I know part of what the answer is, every single mace upgrade was a 1 in 1000???ish roll back when GS was OP, yet he didnt just use a tribal the whole time (which when rolled well is better than all the rest, I know because of heavy strike as his main DPS for vaal etc). Coupled with super early MS boots (was it hillock?) But I think the main point is that barring one in a (large number) race, parties will always win in a party race just for the fact that they can accelerate people who need to be. It was no mistake that your two highest people were Witch\Ranger when they were ours because of our fragmentation at Merveil that was unplanned, and this time since I paid the price so heavily Dime was far lower whereas he is normally highest and your witch etc is last, since the witch\templar showing seems to be so poor a lot. Personally I'm fine with how it works, as long as there are always both types of group formats (I'd hope for no trading solo), it just behooves the solo player to group up and make a go at it. On a side note, it is extremely fascinating to me the geometric progression the early game has. Panda cleared to something so fast I was stunned, and while I've only tried 4-5 times, I've never been close. In the first 30 minutes him saving 4 minutes, ends up being 4-6 levels higher than I've anything I've ever done on Marauder, and why I end up not playing this class in races. Need some super stat\math nerd\Chris to weigh in with the earliest times to like Prisoner's gate - and then the resultant level and XP gained for that person. It'd be fascinating to me.
