[1.0.X] [Marauder/Duelist] Facebreaker + BoR + Aegis Aurora | DPS & tank

hi there , im planning to go into this build but i only have the bankroll of like 11 exalted


aurora or bor as first(most important item)


boots,amulet,belt,facebreaker everything done , i just have to decide wich one of the "costly" uniques i buy first?!

It's definetely BoR, because you dont have to pay for a chest armor :)

i thought the shield would be more important cause that ES-Block thingy?! and its atleast 2ex more to spend better earlier than later, but okay you (maybe someone else) is providing me that bor is >aegis i think i buy bor first

BoR give insane dps health armor block and 7l, my friend doesnt have aurora but he can clear most of the content with ease.

My current gear:




I switch to saffel when a boss deals insane magic damage such as torture chamber shrine etc. That's all.

Can clear everything in game atm, didn't have the chance to try dominus 78, because I don't have the map :((

Can't find any upgrades. Any opinions?

only problem here can be ele weakness map mod. In my case (I run 2 auras) i can dump haste and run purity and counter the ele weakness mod almost entirely because my resists are 75/82(89)/77(112%) without purity. That's mainly he reason I never went FB + BoR build. It is fine really but I hate re-rolling maps and I play what is served to me. I only re-roll -max res on temple and dominus because it's really a bad idea to face piety with anything less than 75% lres.
You could counter the ele weakness mod if you take one more echarge since they also give 4% all res per charge so 5 of them would give +20% res. Also, I find 7-8K armor to be plenty on blocker build. It will soak all reflect and all trash mobs dmg, including rhoas, what little dmg passes you will regen very fast with well regen + LL :)

Ok, removed it from the title.

What I initially meant is that a good weapon or a 6-lined chest can cost multiple times this whole gear set for which neither is needed.

For me, I would switch to other build only if I find a mirror to get a gg weapon or a chest + Abyssus. Below that price level I don't see a better option.

Besides that I got the gear when BoR and Aegis were 4 exalts each and Facebreaker gloves were a couple of chaos (before they were made legacy).

Get a BoR, it enables a lot of builds and counts as two items (helm + chest) for single budget.

Use shields like linked below untill you can afford/decide to buy Aegis. They shouldn't be expensive. With Facebreaker you can easily swap them with 'X' key in combat depending on monters (spell/physical).
