[1.2.0] Lightning arrow bow ranger (3 Auras/ life based/ max dps/ good survivability)

What do you mean? The links are working fine, just tested both of them again.

Do i start with going up or down on the skill tree? so to ele stats or phys stats towards vaal pact
I'd go left first in direction of vaal pact to grab the life circle there. But also go up and left soon to grab the reduced mana reserved nodes, so you can run 2 auras and once you get an alphas howl 3 of them. I am using Wrath, Hatred and Grace/Haste. After that it's up to you, I'd try to go upwards to get all the dmg nodes and crit nodes there.

Also right now, don't waste 2-3 points to get vaal pact. Instead use a life gain on hit gem (alternative build on page 1). It's equally strong as life leech and saves some nodes you can put into damage instead.

What do you think about spending some points go get blood magic?
Bad idea. Blood magic means you cannot use Auras and Auras are OP. However, early game you can do it and respec later.

Do you think 117% life is a little low for this build? I know the leech will make up for it, but I still felt in some situations that my life ran low with my old tankier IR build.
Hmm you can easily take the rest of the life nodes in the huge circle or the 4 additional life nodes around the center/duelist start if you prefer more life. In my case I preferred max dps.
I have like 3k+ life and a ton of armour/evasion + ondars guile. That works out perfectly on highest level maps.

This looks good, but I have some questions/concerns:

The OP says to use life on hit instead of lifesteal now, but still has life leech gems listed. Should I use life on hit gems instead?

The OP also says 3 auras, but I only see 2. Does this use haste?

If you use three auras, can you still use frenzy with that setup or do you need to use a blood magic gem?

Are frenzy charges or power charges more important?

How does the build change if you take health from the bandits on normal and attack speed from the bandits on cruel?

I think that's about it. Sorry if any of the questions are dumb or don't make sense; it's been a while since I last played.

Hello Gumbo, I'd prefer if you used my nickname instead of 'OP'. Anyways, If you had checked my gear carefully, you would note a LGOH gem being used in the armour, and that has already been there ever since patch 1.2. Why LGOH preferred > life leech has been discussed some pages before. However, if anyone thinks life leech is better and can justify this I am willing to listen. Imo it just takes additional nodes to get vaal pact right now so it's kind of a waste...

I am using 3 auras. The boots somehow vanished from my current gear, that's where my auras are. Right now all res is in there because I did an ele weakness map. I often switch auras to situations accordingly.
The main auras are: Haste, Wrath, Hatred for max dps.

You cannot generally say what is more important. Both is good for their purpose, but I guess power charges contribute most to the dmg.

How does it change? It doesn't change at all because no one is ever going to get 117 skill points ~ around level 100 :) Go as far as you can and take the points which are most important. I would respec the bandits though if you can afford it, eventually. You don't need the life or the attack speed that badly, you get plenty of the latter especially.

Don't worry, your questions are all right. Enjoy the build

When I said OP, I meant 'original post' rather than 'original poster'. I also worded my post the way that I did so that someone other than you could answer my questions in case you weren't actively watching the thread.

Also, I'm kinda clueless since I never reached endgame and I haven't played since piety was the final boss of act 3. I never really looked at your gear or even know what the gear-related acronyms mean.

For the bandits I would be starting from scratch so I could choose whichever bandit path is best. I was just under the impression that skill points were almost always not the best one to pick if you knew what your endgame setup was going to be.

Anyway, thanks for answering my questions.
