I really dont know how to help you here, last time i leveled a summoner was on anarchy league, few months ago.
My build works well using "shavronnes chest", "midnight bargain", "prism guardian" and 3 auras reserved on blood. All these itens are very complicated for new players to get.
If i had to level a new summoner i would try a life based one, using "aurunvorax" as a weapon, "rathpith globe" shield, and "eldritch Batery" passive to run 4~5 auras(discipline, haste, purity of elements, clarity and hatred".

Before starting the fight i recast my zombies using RZ + multistrike + faster atk + lvl 3 empower (you zombies will have 8k more hp doing that) or use minion life.

I start the fight casting desecrate, fresh offering and i cast skells inside his room, from a very safe distance. All the zombies and spectres will enter the room and will start ataking the boss and his minions.
If you notice that the number of zombies start going very low, or the ciclones are too close, just leave the room, recast your zombies and start the fight again.

I will see if i have an academy map left to record the fight.

My current gear and setup below, am I doing something wrong, or its just tough to do this in group. I usually find the room full of cyclone and if I am just running around trying to avoid damage, my zombie doesn't engage while they die eventually.

my regular zombies are 7k and snap 8k, is there anything I can improve apart from getting my emp to level 3.

Oh, i thought you were trying to run this map solo, in goups it is another history. I honestly dont have much experience doing this map in groups.

Hello, i am a necromancer level 87 now and i would like to ask you some things,

1) Why not skeletons ? i think they are pretty good despite the fact that most people dislike them. I can guess your answer will be i have no room for skeleton sockets since i can sustain so many auras with the shield. But i like their AI better than zombies : When you run zombies run to you, skeletons only attack ! Anyway throw me some feedback

2) I always considered ''Minion Damage'' support gem a must have ! One 20/20 , offers 92% increased damage and when i tried on my zombies both multistrike and faster attacks and the new flesh offering i realised that they do not need all that attack speed.

Anyway looking for some advice on those matters.

Why not skells? I use skells all the time, i don't even know how to play without them!!
-i like to cast skells before entering a room;
-on open maps, to create a "wall" of minions;
-before starting a boss fight;
-to move my zombies and espectres to the spot i'm clicking...

"Minion damage" is a good "all arround" support gem for minions, but you usually have better options to use for a first choice.
eg.
for zombies
is > than "minion damage"
for flame sentinels,
is > than "minion damage".
After the 1.0.6 patch, with new "flesh offering" and attack speed passives, i replaced faster attacks for "empower" but i'm not sure if it is a better option.

I think thy can be effective with ''soul mantle'' and ancestral bond and have totems cast them, then adding on hit effects like added lightning and added chaos and runnings auras like anger or wrath. I have not played "serious" with raging spirits yet, but i belive they could work great with soul mantle. The most interesting point, on my opnion, is the fact that ranging spirits doesn't reflect damage to the totens, making it viable on high lvl maps.
I like to use added chaos, light, cold only with skills that hit many times per second, eg. flame totens, void bearers, incinerate...but anger and wrath auras would be welcome.
I am also thinking in taking some "increased duration" passives on skill tree, to save one gem slot, maybe replacing "inc. duration" for "minion speed".
