pabrt's Critical Mass Discharger 1.2 (molten strike coc)

So I've been playing this character over the weekend and I'm at lvl 57. I'm aboslutely LOVING this build.. tons of damage and great survivability. The only issue I'm running into is constant mana pool depletion. Now it's weird... when I play in a party, I'm pretty much always full on mana, but the instant I leave party and continue playing solo, I encounter mana problems. Is anyone else having this issue? If so, how did you mitigate this issue?

In case I'm missing something obvious.. here is my current gear and skill tree.

Most likely your dagger doesnt have enough phys damage on it vs. the % of mana leech you have (only 2% it looks like).

Also in a party it's likely others are using clarity or discipline that boosts your mana regen.
So since I still work on get my 6S Voll fused, I play around with another 4L Voll and several gems while lvl up to see what else could possibly workout. Cyclone - too much mana cost (properly the best for getting crit and still have Life Leech in 4L), Frenzy - too freaking slow even with Multistrike, Flicker Strike just don't work, so finally I test out single projectile Spectral Throw. And you know what? It work fairly well, since you must, and I say MUST have Life Leech in order Discharge and tank safely. So my test make me relize that single projectile Spectral Throw vs. Double Strike w/o Multistrike the winner is ST. ST built-in pierce can crit a little more than pure Double Strike (bigger mob pack more crit) and still be safe since you don't have to close up b/c you is very weak at low lvl.

But this is just my experiment for cheaper usage and lvl up tips, please don't discuss about Double Strike - Multistrike vs. Spectral Throw - LMP/GMP here.

Yeah that makes sense. I wish ST were better late game, because I wanted to get the seraph effect and use it for a build.
Have any of you guys on Domination done any of the high end map bosses? I'm having issues tanking the spell damage ones. I figure it's the lack of voll's devotion damage. I can tank them to an extent, It's just really scary. bosses like piety that run away and halt my leeching are a real pain in the ass.

It seems like with enough damage though this wouldn't really be an issue.

I am actually going to try Addition Accuracy, which enables me to pick up rings, gloves etc without accuracy. 20% Accuracy has a total of 40% crit. Which is 80% less than the 125 from Increased Critical Strikes.
Man. I have all kinds of issues here. First I'm using damn near the same speed wep. + setup. I'm only missing one 12% attack speed node - I'm running haste and I'm nowhere near the 6.89aps you are.
Actually. I'm at less than half. What gives on your paperdoll?

Second I need more ES or mana - only have 50 with 2 auras up - my crit weakness cost 59.

Gdi.
What are your links? It sounds like you're not using multistrike.

Additionally you should use crit weakness on damage taken so you don't have to pay for it.
How do you have so much armor Pabrt :P I can get up to 81% max n.n

With the new Barrage Skill about to out (thank pabrt for head up), I think Voll's Protector 4L could be super useful to Discharge and very cheap to make the build viable for low on currency people (like me).

Theorycraft it:

Spoiler
4L Voll: Barrage - CoC - Discharge - Life Leech - (If 5L then you could add one of these: Accuracy/LMP/GMP/Fork/Pierce/or Mana Leech since it's a wand Skill it doubt it's gonna cost litle Mana)

For who want to refund at little to try this, we could Dual Wield Wand (Wand have the highest crit chance I tell ya :P) and just refund the point of Dagger and take Global Crit node instead. The node you spent into Dual Wield Crit still workout that way.

My first attempt is something like this: (thank m3325xb for the tree that viable without Voll's Devotion)

Then again, if you have 20% Quality Life Leech already, I think there's a node we never thought about - Bullying:

So why Bullying? Since we crit so so much, and we have to come a bit close in order to Discharge effectively, so with Knock Back on crit we could interupt enemy attack which could save us from some dangerous moment, anyway there are just theorycraft... but I think I could work fairly well.

Gears: Since wand got good Crit already and not many Wand got Global Crit anyway, and we took Global Crit node alot too, I'd say go with wand that have Spell Crit in Main Hand and Spell Damage and Spell Crit Multiplier in Off Hand. It good to have good movement Boot too since you can't Whirling Blade and idk if Lighning Warp work good here...

BTW, I just bought this cheap yesterday:

----------
For who stuck with 4L Voll and don't plan to get Barrage anytime soon, I have a way to Discharge safely, we need a simple setup with Spectral Throw + Single Double Strike + Whirling Blade

4L Voll: Double Strike - CoC - Discharge - Life Leech
3L: Spectral Throw - LMP/GMP - Faster Projectile (to hit things farther)
And have Whirling Blade in whichever Socket you left.

Play Style: stand alway from mob packs, Spectral in their face, when you have around 3~4 Power Charge then Whirling Blade close up and Double Strike. Then Whirling Blade out if there still survival and repeat (especially bosses).

Mechanics Explain: Erm, since you don't have enough Attack Speed without Multistrike for Double Strike only we need to cover it with Crit Chance from Power Charge. So basically, you gonna have high Crit Chance when you closed up and Double Strike gonna be enough for proc Discharge.

EDIT: Still, If you can manage the mana cost of Cyclone, please don't read anything above, just use Cyclone in your 4L Voll. :P
