BoR is 10 ex
Legacy facebreakers are 2 ex

everything else costs much less than an ex

Or would you rather use a build that requires a 50ex 6-linked weapon?

Pretty much. Don't forget the chest too.
Zabo- So glad you're having a great time with the way of the fist! This build is more than viable in later difficulty levels - it can only reach its true potential when you reach Level 67. From then on, it's just a wrecking ball in motion. You won't be disappointed. Ask anyone else who's given it a shot. Best of luck!

Sepfire - What gonefishin and shunyata say is correct. You can construct a build that will get you to the end of Merciless for a very small amount of currency, but you can expect to be doing about 5-6k damage at most, with weak survivability. In order to dominate endgame maps, you need very high damage with a character that can resist and survive all kinds of damage. That flexibility is expensive, usually extremely so - you're looking at purchasing at least one six-linked premium rare and another six-linked or other expensive item (usually a weapon and chest armor), other high-value supporting uniques (potentially Kaom's Heart or Shavronne's Wrappings, Voltaxic Rift, Aegis Aurora, etc), plus whatever else you need to make the build work - a build which may have vulnerabilities even when you've finished constructing it.

How much would you end up paying for all of that? Fifty exalted? A hundred exalted worth of gear?

Bringer of Rain is expensive, but it's only 10ex or so. You don't even need legacy Facebreakers with this build to get 17k dps. Rainbowstrides are optional. Meginord's Girdle, Saffell's Frame, and the jewelry you need are all relatively inexpensive. You are getting massive endgame power, survivability, and clear speed at a fraction of the cost of other builds. That's why this build is great.
Ruby light of Songbird dreaming,
Daring King of Swords deceiving,
Queen of Sirens left in grieving,
Star of Wraeclast evermore.
Can aegis aurora work with 3-400 energy shield? Is it worth taking off lioneyes remorse while losing armor and damage reduction?
Does a carnage heart work well with this build or is the 25% health reduction too great?
I am currently lvl55 and have to pop hp pots regularly even with the carnage heart and max resists.
Been trying this build out on my 75 marauder, tho i seem to be able to die within a second once i reach a big pack of mobs by simple melee dmg. I have been following your talent guide and all(except that i also took unwavering stance for some reason:P), also using pretty much the same gear (my rings&amulet is still lacking some stuff).

So if you guys are not dying within a second on big packs, what am i doing wrong?

I got 70-82 all resists, 5200~ armor, 3,8k HP

i also see a big problem with big mobpacks + adds from bosses which do physical dmg. (in high lvl maps 78)

You first have to generate the Endurance CHarges then cast immortal call.
If you rely on CWDT gem its way too risky in high lvl maps, an option is to cast enduring cry manually. But i dont see a Space for another Enduring Cry + BM ...

in theory its nice, but try this in 78 Courtyard boss ... no way

So, I almost have all the gear to start this build. But I just have one concern. What do you do against elemental reflect? I mean, I know you have spell block. But leveling up elemental reflect seems like it would be a big problem. I know you can use Dominating Blow when you're in maps and whatnot, but what about if you just run into a reflect pack leveling up in your 50s?

Thanks for taking the time to make this guide and constantly updating us with feedback. It's a great resource.
