[1.0.4]Scion - Incinerate Tank - Mind over Matter, EB, almost Max Block | Facetank a lot of stuff
" I used only clarity for a really long time, quality on red mana doesn't work on auras so a red mana gem and lots of mana is what you want. When your mana pool becomes big enough you can run discipline and clarity since clarity doesn't reserve a % and you can probably wait with TS until you get the Sovereignty passive node. Good luck with merciless. |

" That chest is expensive though, It kind of seems like a waste not taking IR because you are running some eva gear anyway and thats just lost AR then. (coil is 700 eva) OT: I started using this build. Level 46 at the moment, got the claw at level 40 and it just made it ezmode. Running Clarity and Temp shield while leveling disc (don't need it at the moment) current gear:
Spoiler
In my 4L chest I am running Inci, LMP, Mleech and Faster Proj since the claw leech is strong enought to not need life leech at all atm. I do run out of mana sometimes but then all I need to perma cast is 1 use of mana pot. Fun build Last edited by kluch on Nov 1, 2013, 8:31:03 AM

update!
Cybilite LVL 46 i'm starting to struggle a little but mostly its been smooth since I started using cybil's paw. Questions: Does point blank affect Incinerate since it's a projectile? I am having this strange feeling my build would be way more powerful and cheap if I went for BM. I'm already stacking enough life regen, life leech, and lgoh that adding mana regen seems like a stretch. Do you think BM would work for this build? Before I get jumped... my build is purposefully different than the op's. I wanted to ignite and proliferate fire damage. This is why I chose burning damage nodes. Any good advice would be appreciated. There is grief in wisdom, there is sorrow in truth

Incinerate isn't a projectile attack so point black doesn't work with it.
You need 30% damage reduction from Mind over Matter and/or use Grace/Determination to get good amount of armour so BM is useless for this build. Incinerate does very little fire damage per hit so burning damage nodes are waste of passive points.
I'm not sure how well burning would work with this. The hits are small and IIRC burning's damage is based on the initial hit.
ALSO How would Static blows work with incinerate? AND Iron will maybe? Last edited by kluch on Nov 1, 2013, 8:24:01 AM

Would you suggest this build for someone with very limited gear and none of the uniques you've listed?
| |
The core of the build (the claw) isn't that expensive. Like 1chaos- few gcp. So its not that bad to get started with in the new leagues (doing this atm)

" 1 chaos? or 1 exalted? :O
Even without any of the uniques, you can still run it. The most important part is EB + Mind Over Matter.

" The skill actually says it's a Projectile and it benefits from projectile passives and gems. i do have an idea of why PB wouldn't be compatible, but a confirmation from someone who at least understands Incinerate is a projectile based spell would be much appreciated. " i don't see why IR, Cloak of Defiance and BM wouldn't work. i'm not a total noob so I know some of what I suggest. " Oh thanks. I really appreciate how cordial your responses are and how helpful you are. " Thannk you! This is the information I was looking for. Would Firestorm be substantial enough to warrant the extra burning damage? Molten Shell is also on the table of additional skills that would benefit from the burning damage. " i did notice that grabbing Iron Grip boosted my damage output slightly, but not enough at the time I tested it to use it. I may try it out again now that I am a much higher level, but Iron Grip gives a bonus to Incinerate. There is grief in wisdom, there is sorrow in truth
