Realyn's release EK Marauder build. Tanky as Hell! Level 20 gem/gear update!

I recently chaosed this beauty so ill be switching to a 6L in 1.5 levels. I have a really nice wand with cast speed, proj speed, and 90%+ spell damage, so I'm debating dropping fast proj as my 6l. Which would be better for more damage, iron will or increased crit chance?

Better to have grey item with linked sockets that u need, than spend a lot of orbs and make rare item with this sockets?

Yes. People keep asking me how I have so much currency in my stash. Simply: by not buying gear I didn't really need.

Chaos damage got nerfed so hard, it's hardly noticeable. It's a joke compared to the start of open beta alchemists.

I'd like to spec out as efficiently as possible, Realyn, how do you think I can do it? Or do you think I should stay where I am and just get the armour nodes that are around my current passives? If I do spec out, it won't be the most efficient build, but it should be quite a bit better.

Edit: I might have just figured out how to do it with 18 points respec. I won't be able to touch the east side of the tree, though, but that shouldn't matter too much as I'm doing scepters and not wands.

That's allways the problem with respecs. Out of the 18 points you might be able to really "transfer" 10 of them.

You should: spec out of the 3 str nodes top left and connect Marauder and Ttemplar. Then you need to respec out of two random points and put your 4 points into the 10 dex above Duellist. Then you can respecc the remaining "useless" points top left from Duellist.

It worked out perfectly with the 18 points. I guess the two strength nodes on the far east side shouldn't be a problem, should they?

possible to give me some pointers

i plan to do a scion version of your build that goes into the ranger tree for ballistic mastery, heart of the oak, revenge of the hunted and charisma cluster.

i play domination so i gave up on some of the survivability for some comfort, first of all the incredible 20% projectile speed of ballistic in the ranger start area.

for me the build still looks pretty tanky with around 280% life. maybe you could tell me what you think.

I've started an ek scion based on your guide. (domination)

I'm planning to apply some minor changes in passive build:
passive tree

I really want to have some more damage and i find it hard to get any projectile speed. (I don't want to buy 6-link since it's so damn expensive.)

I have not really started to go for ballistic mastery yet, so if you have any cons about it i can still drop the idea.
Tho i need reduced mana mods for third aura which is along the way. (Grace+Hatred now, should haste be the 3rd?)

So my questions are:
1: Is my passive tree ok? (I want to have leather and steel, don't look at that :D )
2: Should i go for balistic mastery?
3: What should be my 3rd aura? (Does anything give decent dps increasement?)

I just reached level 60 with this build. I have around 4700 HP. I'm not sure where do I go in the skill tree at this point?

Do I try to get the HP nodes with chaos resistance (top left) or do I go for Golem's Blood under Iron Reflex? Also when do I get the armour node (Faith and Steel)? Also the 6th endurance charge?

On a serious note, I will try a similar EK build, but based on max block and spell block. Time will tell if I don't fare worse :)

whats up im using this build and i like it. my EK almost seems like it does more single target damage than my viper strike. am i doing something wrong; here i will link my gear and maybe you can tell me why viper strike isnt doing great for single target or whatever: (EK is in chest, viper strike is in offhand 1hander)

if i understood it correctly i think you use viper just to get the stacks rolling on the mob and then switch back to EK to stack the dps of viper and EK.
