Also i have de-leveled cleave to level 1, now the mana cost is 36, it used to be 51. So its much better this way.

OK, Came here from your vaal video thread. Didn't read it all, so sorry if i missed something or broken the discussion up.

Just wanted to say - DAMN. DAT DPS. I was wondering how you could get such insane damage BEFORE crit, But i have to say, This is pretty ingenious. A very good use of the mechanics to reach that.

Let me see if i get the premise of the build right. Basically, Stack up as much lightning damage as you can on gear and as a Shadow, you have relatively access to nodes that boost it up. Elemental Weakness and Lightning Penetration to make all that damage very effective and possibly higher.

CI and ES keep you alive so you don't need as much skill points on defensive nodes, As long as you don't take very high hits for long as your ES doesn't regenerate quite well here.

All in all, This is pretty great.

yup thats basically how you make any ele build do very high damage, stack your element of choice, for me it is lightning cause i noticed that high lightning damage is pretty common.I didnt use wakes for quite a long time though, i used just a pair of very high es boots even after i was done with the race and specced out of the RT build.

But yeah thats the idea of it, stack lightning damage as high as possible and then get high ES stuff and many ES nodes.

With the upcoming change to CI would you still go for it, or did you consider making some major changes to this build for OB?

Also: In order to make this build work for HC, how much additional survivability instead of dps would make a dual wield ele cleave build work for HC?

Well on the CI i thing, i will just have to get ES nodes early on as i did the first time i started this build in the 1 month race, and i had around 12k+ es without wakes since i invested a lot of nodes into ES and used a decent pair of ES boots.

After i pondered it a bit i arrived to the conclusion that i can just spec out of the frenzy charges and just get more es and buff effect nodes + 1% life regen with the keystone candidate(life regen affects ES). This will lower my attack speed by 0.4 attacks per second, it seems to be a good tradeoff.

Also if the regen keystone stays i have noticed that this will make my build stronger because i already couldnt regen mid combat like others do by using the Ghost Reaver passive.

For HC i recommend you use my old build i did in the 1 month race that uses RT, it has more es and it eliminates the chance of critting on reflect mobs while still doing high dps (went to 22k+ with wakes).
If you dont want to use wakes, you will lower your dps but you will gain a lot more ES and you will be at around 20k dps i think which is very good in my opinion. I did not use wakes in the 1 month race build at all and it worked very good.

So basically, all I'm doing now is looking for a build to go with my first char once OB hits. I want a fast farming class. Would you consider this build a fast farming one?

For fast farming and if you want to do this build i suggest you use increased area of effect for farming, its way faster, considering you will be farming lower level zones with Mf gear, when you level use concentrated effect so you can kill enemies in higher level zones easier.

Thats what i do when i mf with this build.

And yes of course i will edit and place the new build after OB arrives, with the new gear and spec, but it will be delayed because i will have to level the character first to a decent level then i will post it so i can be sure that it works before i edit.

Alrighty with a bit of respec, sacrificed some ES nodes i got to 216k dps, Petrov was indeed right, its reachable :D
