Can someone explain the concept around running Hatred(which is cold damage) instead of Anger(which is fire damage)? As this build already uses added fire damage gems, i would think Anger would synergize better. Thanks!

Since this is physical damage focused and Hatred converts Phys to Cold and Anger adds Fire, Hatred > Anger.
DoubleStrike/BloodMagic/MeleePhys/Multistrike/? for a 5 link what would be better to add faster attack or added fire?
Hello i have a litel question :)

What is the stuff in addequation with this specs?

Ill just post some quick info as there seems to be a great deal of interest.

Ranger > Duelist > Scion for the Sword version. There are many great ways to combine DoubleStrike + Spectral Throw using other classes, but probably not for 2H swords.

Im still experimenting a bit, but the gems are thought to be as follows:
DoubleStrike, Melee Physical, Multistrike, Blood Magic, Faster Attacks, Added Fire
Spectral Throw, Added Fire, LMP, Blood Magic, Weapon Elemental, Faster Attacks

Reserve all mana with Hatred + Grace

Unlike most builds, this is very powerful throughout the entire game. Its a build you can begin at level 1, and is very effective from then on.

Help Oak all difficulties.

There are many damage passives available. The most important thing to know is which are better.

For point efficiency, best to worst:
Wicked Blade
Blade Master
Wrecking Ball
Reaver
Razor's Edge
Berserking
Legendary Swordsman
Acceleration
Brutal Blade

Just quoting from page 4, since a lot of people are asking about the build mechanics.
I don't know if he changed it, maybe someone who follows him on twitch may tell.
So revised a defensive version of the Kripp ST. THOUGHTS people?

depends on efficiency, each armor node at marauder is as good as each eva/life node of ranger
the health nodes are debatable as I find it excessive, because the current build has a ton of sword ipd/life hybrid nodes.
an additional diamond skin and elemental adaptation is sweet, but that's about it.

therefore, you have lost some point efficiency in order to reach elemental adaptation and diamond skin. For resists, you have 3 18% nodes at scion to buff your resists, so there is no need to get additional diamond skin. there are also some resists nodes around the duelist area too if you really need them.

have tried a similar ST build without marauder nodes, and reach 3.5k health with carnage heart equipped. Easily over 4.5k/5k hp if you have better life gear.

there are also additional hp nodes near the path between duelist/ranger which the scion has easy access too.

how would manaleech on an item work with ST, since ST is not physical? or does mana leech apply to everything?

having massive mana problems -_-

What level are you? In the early levels, just use mana potions. If you have a 4-link or 5-link, you can add blood magic gem, as long as you have the life leech passive or some sort of life leech on gear. Otherwise , if you don't have a large enough mana pool because you are using two auras, I suggest sticking with one aura (hatred for dps) until you have blood magic gem linked to your double strike or spectral throw.

Iron Grip looks to be a key element for the spectral throw, should I make a beeline to have it as soon as possible?

Wondering this myself.

No - wait until you have enough STR to pick it up. It's about 200 dps at lvl 54 or so.

So at what point should I be using the BM gem? Should I wait to get the 2% leach in the tree?

Once you pick up a 5l, you can go BM - from there, you should pick up the 2% leech. You really need Rigvalds at least.

What is so special about Rigvald's that you should have it before you switch to BM gems?

Very helpful posts in here guys, thanks all around.

I had a question regarding using 4L/5L gear while leveling. Do you guys just get lucky and find rare gear with 4L/5L? I'm currently using a blue chest piece with 4L that has +health and +cold res. I'm wondering how people are getting 4-5L rares so quickly while leveling. Or are you people also using white/blue gear with 4-5L?

Am I doing it wrong? =X
No one is getting a 5L when leveling at mid levels ( I suppose you mean "self-found" ). A simple rare with 4L would be enough to carry you through low level maps ( I've a level 80 Marauder and I can easily do level 70-71 maps with just a 4L ).

About your mana issues, I'm currently level 45 on Domination and I'm using this following gem setup:

Dual Strike - Life Leech - Faster Attacks
Spectral Throw - Added Fire Damage - Lesser Multiple Projectiles - Mana Leech.

Even with Hatred I can just spam ST all the way without any mana issues at all. ST mana cost is 19 and I'll switch ML with BM as soon as I get it ( my life regen is 35/s so I won't have any problem keeping it up with life with the 2% LL passive ).

I'm avoiding specific Weapon Damage Nodes at the moment, so I'm not forced to use a weapon type or another.

This build sounds pretty good, though. Rigavld gives you everything you need for leveling up fast, that's why is so considered.
